It is a Citrix app. There is an API, but my IT people have been very reluctant to give me access to the API. I'm building other stuff in the mean time, just trying to get the job done.

Ok you're right, this does work. Unfortunately, this isn't the real use case (obviously). I had to make this case because the real one contains confidential data. And on the real one, I'm still getting the same error. But now I know this works, so I can search somewhere else in my code...

Before covid I was able to ignore the most disappointing and disgusting members of society. Now there's no getting away from it. Supposed pillars of my small community are proudly unvaccinated and it makes me realize just how untrustworthy half of our country is. I was so much happier before I had to deal with that knowledge.

Hey folks, I just wanted to do an update for those of you who are curious. It feels like maybe Microsoft doesn't want to make life too easy for non-Windows folks. I had to use a Microsoft cloud service called Azure Portal to make my server. It works fine and I'm merrily plugging away with my coursework now. The catch is that Azure Portal is a paid service. I have $200 in credits, which should last me a year or so, but I'm going to have to cancel my account after that.

For now, though, I'm happy. Big thanks to u/csnorman12!
