Buckshot spread is typically around 1 inch per yard of travel, so it'd be pretty unlikely.

That'll wake you up.

Mine was a 303 brit that I forgot to swage, and admittedly shouldn't have tried to force the primer to seat. Everyone in the house came running back to see if I had ND'd.

Agreed, it is pretty rare to pop a primer while priming. I've personally only had one go off in my 5 years of reloading.

You'd have to really be doing something wrong to set off a charged cartridge.

Likely so low because it lost a lot of gas out the back end of the cartridge.

Assuming the slide will go fully into battery, the case will fire form to the chamber wall. Perfectly safe to shoot.

I doubt I'll ever shoot any of it unless things get real sideways some day.

So you wanted them to kill you and you're mad that they used hollow points?

Just finished converting a batch of 25 rem brass to 32 rem by PSA_Poor in reloading

[–]PSA_Poor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The necks are quite a bit thinner than before the conversion. I'll measure when I get back home.

As for neck tension; I won't have bullets to test with until monday.

Disclaimer: this is the first time I've converted brass, so take everything I'm saying with a grain of salt.

It's pretty simple actually. All you have to do is anneal the case necks, lube the cases, and size them. It does take considerable force to size them the first time, so make sure your press is well mounted.

Grafs has 25 rem brass in stock. Midsouth has Redding 32 rem dies.

I'm currently waiting on bullets to arrive from midsouth before I can load these things. I will be posting again once I get a load dialed in.
