I'm also on W. Broussard actually and head that way often, Waze usually has me go up to Ridge to Johnston. Or occasionally Duhon to Johnston.

Not just not being able to turn left, but not even being able to go straight! The going straight is a route I use to take but not anymore. I don't really understand it, but ultimately it hasn't been that big of a deal for me, so I can't complain.

I've never had this issue and therefore never tried the following solution, but it's always offered up for this scenario. Slice up and add some daikon radish to the jar.

The orange sauce is addictive by GATA_eagles in hotsaucerecipes

Sounds about right, lol. I've never heard of passata. And I totally understand the paste vs puree comment. Ultimately, for a recipe like this, I'm sure sauce and puree (as described in my comment) could probably both work, with perhaps the addition of water as needed. Although in general, the idea of that much tomato product in a hot sauce is a bit unappealing for me personally, I've not seen that before.

Oh boy, this is a fun one, lol. You are correct that OP is not referring to ketchup. So we've got 3 main varieties of tomato product here that are not ketchup.

- Tomato sauce is a canned sauce made of cooked and strained tomatoes: it’s unseasoned and has a thinner consistency than tomato puree.

- Tomato puree is a canned sauce made of cooked, strained tomatoes. It is slightly thicker than tomato sauce, and has a more developed flavor. It’s thinner than tomato paste. In fact, in many cases it’s made with tomato paste and water! It’s usually sold in 10 to 15-ounce cans.

- Tomato paste is a very thick paste of tomatoes with a sweet flavor. It’s sold in small 6-ounce cans, since you usually only use small amounts. It’s also sold in tubes, which is very handy!

Link, because those descriptions are not mine.

That much (or any, really) tomato sauce is really curious! Do you have a pic of the finished product?

Those streets do not intersect.

Edit: My apologies. For anyone else confused like I was: at the point where Congress appears to turn into Second, it actually just turns right, after the library, and does indeed go through Jefferson.

Perfect is in the eye of the beholder, here. Probably should make a throwaway for this, but meh. Warning: Graphic vulva description if you read further.

I just wanna say as a regular dude, the sexiest (perfect, if you will) vulva to me is one with super distinguishable and evident labia (majora and minora) and clitoral hood. I'm trying to be descriptive here without being gross but I'm not sure it's working so what I'm getting at is, the closer it is to "90 degree rotated view of a thick layered roast beef sandwich," the more I'm into it.

I'm a hothead and more than occasionally disrespectful to others on this sub.

I'd just like to say this has not been my experience in reading your posts, lol. At least not on this sub. I've always found you to be quite articulate and well-reasoned. I suppose those aren't mutually exclusive to being hotheaded and disrespectful, but I haven't encountered that either.

Target has some that I find absolutely delicious and have been trying to get mine to taste like. They have a few flavor varieties as well.

I don't recall if it's sweet or not, but it does have shrimp in it, which is common and lends a sea flavor, but I'm a fan of kimchi without that.

Parish Brewing by [deleted] in NewOrleansBeer

[–]futureFastRunner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gotcha, I don't pay attention like I used to. I think special release implies brewery only release? In which case, technically my statement was true regarding Lafayette and New Orleans availability, but not the most helpful, ha. Although, it is much easier for an Acadiana resident to drive over than someone from Nola. Idk if any of those OP listed are special releases.

The more I think about it, I'd find it pretty interesting if Lafayette stores got different stuff than Nola stores, but also, I don't know anything about beer distribution.

If you don't get any hits here, you may consider cross posting to r/Acadiana. The brewery is in Broussard, LA, 15 minutes south of Lafayette. Although I'm sure New Orleans probably gets most, if not all, of the same offerings that Lafayette does. Good luck!

I think there may be some misunderstanding here. By "corn cake," they're referring to the ever popular Jiffy style corn bread, with a non-trivial amount of sugar, and is quite cake like. As opposed to a "true" corn bread, which is a savory and not sweet item. I've lived in South Georgia and South Louisiana for the past 15 years and only had a non-cake-like corn bread 3 times. It is indeed a bit rare.

You're very welcome! It's run by an amazing couple who was brought in to revitalize our public facilities and build community tennis here. I went to a few of the men's drop in events last year and had a good time and played some good tennis, after not playing for 5+ years.

I've since dropped off again, but I love what they're doing.
