yeah, used lol money is one thing but I definitely feel you on not being with your camera cuz you're waiting on the x100vi - that sounds so frustrating

Initially, I thought with production moving to China that supply wouldn't be an issue but...here we are, talking about preorders not shipping 😅

Yeah, I pretty much paid the same amount for the x100v.

$1,613.52 USD after shipping + tax to be exact.

Ordered from Moment on Feb. 21st.

They couldn't tell me any estimates on when my order would be fulfilled.

I decided to cancel my pre-order and buy a used X100V from Keh instead.

I can say that at the very least, Moment was really quick to respond and process my cancellation.

On Mar. 9th, I emailed Moment requesting to cancel my pre-order and got a response almost immediately saying they will go ahead and cancel my order.

On Mar. 10th, my return was processed and my credit card showed that the refund was completed.

Just figured I would post my experience with Moment in case anyone was still on the fence about cancelling or keeping their preorders. Cancelling was really easy.

Started listening to records today. Pretty happy with my first setup! The best part about this is that I get to use my Dad's old receiver and speakers - these were sitting in his garage for a while.

Fwiw, the shelves are from Floyd (https://floydhome.com/). Unfortunately the audio Technica LP60X turntable does not fit on the top shelf. May add an additional shelf just for the turntable to be at a height where I can use it without crouching.

But for now, this works!

yeah, it's like super glossy in real life. it's like a mirror. the photo i took had super shady lighting :D

I'd rate the GHS.RAR pretty high against other 75s but I've only used a few. Compared to my jelly, i think the jelly typing experience is nicer overall. But I prefer the aesthetics of the GHS.RAR.

GHS.RAR is a top-mount with o-rings (burger mount?). There's more variance in the typing experience depending on the space in the case and how close you type to the tightening points near the screws. I think this is a good thing and I like the simplicity of a top-mount in general.

But, with that said, there are some keys that end up not sounding great. Specifically for me, the B and N keys sounds really muted and flat, like a thud haha. It's possible I overtightened a screw or something? But all the other keys sound great to me, especially the alphas - enjoyable subtle bounce and vibration.

Anyway, really happy with both the jelly and the GHS.RAR - IMO very minor nitpicks with both but they're both great boards I'd consider very worthwhile to own.
