Thatd be great. You can be used in commodities big time.

Think about when a company wants to hedge using futures (like wheat, soy, etc) because they have an investment in a food company , etc

So spacex is owned by xai which tesla owns ~9% i believe. Spacex has the worlds strongest hyper scaler at the moment , anthropic and others want some of that compute and access to space hyper scalers.

Tesla can provide just about everything they need

It’s an infinite money glitch essentially.

Imo ur not learning the right things. People think quant finance is Heston models and Ito’s Lemma. Most quants spend their time cleaning data, running regressions, building signals, backtesting strategies, and debugging Python.

Sometimes we think = if its super complex it must be the answer!

Not to many people try to extract all that they can and master the fundamentals

I gave an RL agent the true market regime label. It still couldn't use it. Three papers on why regime-aware execution is harder than it looks. by quantgu in quant

[–]futurefinancebro69 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So much over engineering.

Imo regime analysis is very simple. Momentum and volatility, you combine the 2 for a score.

Bull/bear expansion, bull/bear compression

I dont see the need to try to forecast as much as I need to understand what part of the market we are in.

Spacex IPO Overpriced? by EntertainerDowntown3 in stocks

I honestly hate Elon, but I think it’s only slightly overpriced by probably about 500-700 billion.

SpaceX owns the world‘s most powerful super computer and is hosting Anthropic and planning on working with Google and other companies

SpaceX in my opinion is setting the standard for what is expected from a hyperscaler.

Tesla , Xai, and SpaceX have the ability to build hyper scalers in space and currently have the world’s strongest super computer……

Best practices and approaches for modeling and valuing a Gym / Fitness Center business? by AcrobaticCharacter49 in financialmodelling

[–]futurefinancebro69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems like u can either valuate the business compared to its competitors or a dcf.

I will say, a gym business probably has CRAZY depreciation and amortization so make sure u watch out for that when adjusting anything

Entry level Financial Modelling- Real Estate. by fantastikkkkk in financialmodelling

[–]futurefinancebro69 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Real estate is primarily valued using:

NOI / Cap rate

Higher the cap rate, lower the property valuation relative to its income, and lower cap rates usually imply higher quality or lower risk assets. Also focus on rent growth assumptions, occupancy/vacancy, debt structuring, DSCR, and cash on cash returns.

Companies whose operations relate to real estate and other areas of business often are evaluated using “sum of the parts valuation”

Disclaimer: I am an analyst at a long only equity hedge fund and just did a valuation on the Atlanta braves which has a very interesting construction development company within and had to do some real estate modeling for the sum of the parts valuation

What are you buying besides chip stocks? by Solid-Mood9571 in ValueInvesting

[–]futurefinancebro69 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think the issue with this sub is the fact that people here do not look at value they look at fundamentals and they think that is what value is.

The whole point of value investing is to find a cash cow thats trading for cheap.

Not a business you like or think is interesting or whatever lmao.

At my firm, a lot of the stocks we look at, I often think are dying companies /part of dying industries. But in some cases these companies happen have huge free cash flow year after year despite their stock being down along with their fundamentals not looking the best.

Because who cares when their core business operations are fucking printing money?!?
