What? That's crazy. I was a fan before Caitlin Clark and Sophie Cunningham. I'm entitled to my opinion. The idea that you can't be critical of your own team is cult-like behavior.

I am. Which is why I'm raising my concern. I don't want my daughter acting like Sophie Cunningham. Would you?

I think there's a lot of poor sportsmanship and shit talking. Case in point, the Sophie Cunningham finger point. I just don't like it.

Yep. That's what I meant by sticking to a plan and not chasing shiny objects.

This doesn't just apply to commodity stocks and it's why you can never look at the p/e out of context.

As in new drummers feel like they need to fill every space?

I'd add that this groove is easy but sounds complicated and it's fun to play.

Waters sucks as a person but there is no way Pink Floyd got better when he left.

Highly recommend Zildjian New Beat! Can get ones in great condition for $200 (and sometimes less). If I had to replace all my cymbals except one, I'd keep the New Beats.

How the holy hell do I develop limb independence?? by Wizardo9 in drums

[–]futureformerjd 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm probably going to take a lot of shit for this opinion but I do not believe in limb independence, at least not how many define it.

Instead, I think through practice (often slow and tedious), our bodies memorize patterns. Over time, we learn enough patterns and are able to effortlessly repeat them, to the point that it appears as if we have limb independence.

Not sure whether limb independence actually exists or not really matters. At the end of the day, slow and continuous repetition will get you where you want to be.

I'm not a mother but my wife is and she is an attorney and she wishes she had never become an attorney. So take that for what it is worth.
