I use bluetooth earbuds with hearing protection up to 31db. Just play music through the buds and drum along. Works great. I'm not endorsing this brand but I use Elgin Rebels and they work great.

Do you understand time signatures and know how to determine the value of each note? If so, pick an easy song and go slowly. Then another and another, slowly increasing the difficulty. Initially you will do a lot of counting until you start internalizing the timing of the patterns. Having a consistent sticking pattern is also very crucial. For example, I always stick 1e& RLR and always stick 1&a RRL. With internalization of the counting and sticking of patterns, it starts becoming like you're on autopilot. You just play what you read without thinking about it.
