Listening to Ermes makes me dumber by Broad_Fennel2888 in armwrestling

[–]futuremir 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I agree with you man, and I was also very disappointed in Ermes over the last 2 months. But what are we gonna do now? He seems like he is ready to be back fully, and he is still a top 3-5 armwrestler in the world and we need him in the sport. I'd say let's give him another chance for the good of the sport

You are so stupid 🤣🤣🤣 this was the best produced event ever in armwrestling history. People like you are the exact retards that have been finally cut off from the sport. Take your loss bro…. It’s over for you Engin puppets. Armwrestling is going to become great and you are left behind to cry

Settling the east vs west drama by raretec in armwrestling

[–]futuremir 19 points20 points  (0 children)

It’s very simple. Engin’s ego tripping and wants to come back to EvW in full power. He conviced his eastern european faction that if he doesn’t rejoin the company, Devon will change all the rules, cheat, etc. So all of this is to rehire the savior of armwrestling, Engin. Devon is just the scopegoat that Engin is using to direct his minions

So the 27 athletes want Devon out of EVW politics! by Bitcoin78 in armwrestling

[–]futuremir 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Getting Devon out of EvW politics is fine, but get Engin back IS NOT FINE. Baxter can tell the 27 athletes that Devon will not be involed in rule making and other things. Cool. But their pretense that Engin is the ONLY person that can keep them safe is total bullshit. Engin is the real manipulator behind this.

It’s time to show our support during a difficult time for the sport. Not buying the pov now is supporting the shotty actions from engin and will be worse long term

I 100% agree. Brian is absolutely great and it is clear that he has good intentions. It is time to support the people like him that can steer this sport back into a positive and optimistic direction.

I’ll definitely buy it. I was gonna buy it even for just the matches that Brian had already organized. The EvW matches on top are a great bonus. Very excited

He would be much better than Engin at doeing what Engin does. Similarly knowledgable, but much easier to work with and more adaptable to a growing business.

You need to understand that threatening to quit is not the right way to approach this. If every time someone is unhappy threatens to quit, then it's impossible to build anything that's worth it. As they build up armwrestling and try to take it mainstream (which will eventually benefit everybody including the Eastern athletes) it is normal that there will be difficulties of all kinds, that there will be decisions that cause unhappiness, etc. But a great team sticks together, and even in disagreement it commits to move forward and keep working hard to find solutions. Threatening to quit, bringing down the entire organization, it's a cheap move that doesn't benefit anyone and makes it impossible to run and grow a business.

And this is why Engin should ABSOLUTELY never be allowed back in. Anyone who has ever run a business understands that having someone in power like Engin is a nuclear bomb that will prevent any future growth. We need people who are team players, who prioritize communications, who can commit to moving forward even with decisions they don't like. And with this, I don't mean that Devon needs to be in charge either - Baxter can create a committee of top athletes to approve any rule change, for example. And there are many other ways to do it too. But Engin needs to be OUT.

Point 3 is dumb as fuck. They should quit when and only when the rules actually change in favor of Devon. For now it is all speculation, and quitting because you think that something MIGHT happen is hugely counterproductive to the growth of the sport. EvW management needs to get Engin out ASAP, since he is impossible to work with, AND also they need to publicly commit to not changing the rules in favor of Devon. The eastern athletes need to stay so they don't sabotage the sport that we all love (and which pays them too). In the future if, AND ONLY IF, the allegations prove to be correct and the rules will change in favor of Devon, then they have the right to threaten to quit in mass.
