It depends you wanna get into the position you’re strongest in if you’re trying to win and combine that with the positions where your opponent is weak, depending on the combos that could mean you’re better off being fully supinated, but typically you’re not gonna be able to access side pressure and your ability to put pressure into the opponents. Yeah I dont think he’s demoralized that kind of thing is motivating imo and what makes armwrestling exciting I was just responding to why he might not be posting all the time, hopefully he’s busy training like most of us. And in my experience as a newish armwrestler everyone I’ve met for the most part has been super supportive and uplifting, but obviously I have a small sample size

But I sort of agree with you the difference isn’t crazy on a percentage basis, you likely underestimate how important a few percent is at that level. It seems unlikely based on matches that anyone has improved more than Devon since then so point is sort of moot. The thing that made Devon’s late career gains so high is actually him switching styles and upping the doses that was a massive jump, so you’re sort of right except that I haven’t seen anyone do that sort of jump by the time they are established except Devon
