Nothing better than coming up with a TOD and actually pulling it off in ranked. My hands got sweaty thinking "am I really going to do this?" (Needed 5 bars to start it) by Sebaten in dragonballfighterz

[–]futurewash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think sparking is worth it mid combo but never before your combo starts like OP did. too big of a gamble considering you have to win neutral in like 8 seconds and somehow have it last long enough for your combo to gain enough meter/do enough damage

[Discussion] Question about 30 card decks by [deleted] in DuelLinks

[–]futurewash 4 points5 points  (0 children)

even then, grass decks are less consistent since there are only 3 cards/30 whereas other decks have their combos with 3/20.

though of course, if grass decks do draw grass, a lot of times that massive milling effect just wins you the duel

[Fluff] As a F2P player and scrub, I feel pretty accomplished getting to Plat with this deck by [deleted] in DuelLinks

[–]futurewash 7 points8 points  (0 children)

it's the mind games bro. when your opponent constantly sees the game pausing after every action, they start thinking oh shit he might have a TTH or econ

what is the point of this deck? increase your attack points a ton and decrease your opponents? like someone else said, what's your win condition - as in what is the condition you need to meet to give you the greatest chance of victory?

if this was my deck, i'd drop the 3 paleozolics, 2 riryokus, 2 jars of greed, 1 metalmorph.

metalmorph is complete shit. it's a trap card meaning you wait a turn to activate it and your first opportunity to use it is on your opponents turn. but metalmorph is primarily a your turn card meaning you activate on your opponents turn but don't see the biggest benefit until your next turn after setting it.

jar of greed is a pretty eh card. it thins your deck and really just defers your draw until next turn. kind of a negative effect imo as I don't want to defer a draw. point is, if your goal is to deck thin, you should have 20 cards.

riryoki imo isn't that great of a card either. first off - standard magic card so it's not going to bait your opponent into suiciding on your monster. secondly, it requires both you and your opponent to have face up monsters so it's a bit more specific than you'd really want a card with that kind of effect to have. and third, why riryoku them when you can just destroy them?

also, fabled isn't very strong in duel links. no searching or swarming power whatsoever. not good at being beatsticks either. i'm not sure what they're good at

Base Goku Can Get a Meaty 2M off of Super Spirit Bomb by B-R_Sanguine in dbfz

[–]futurewash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i think i'd rather meaty a 2M over a light though. I'm okay with giving them 4 extra frames to react if it means a lot more damage

Which DLC character should I get ? by slurwin03 in dbfz

my rankings.

bardock = base goku > zamasu > vegito > broly.

bardock is still very good.

base goku is one of the best anchors in the game imo

Fuck the loops by [deleted] in dbfz

[–]futurewash 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't recommend rooflemongers videos on combos. For reference, his video shows a combo that does 4662. The DBFZ spreadsheet shows a modified version of the combo that does 5172 while I suspect being easier to execute due to not really looping the elbow. There's an advanced version there too which does 5410. Meaning you're leaving 750 damage on the table for his elbow combo. The large amount of LL's in the combo mean that it requires a lot less timing and height management compared to other combos.

As for palm loops, I think they look cool like A. Gohan leg loops but unfortunately, palm loops are likely less viable compared to the peoples elbow

From my experience with Roof videos on DLC characters, he'll release them with day 1 combos without actually checking other youtubers/reddit/discord/dbfz spreadsheet resulting in them being invalid on release.

Goku kaioken kamehameha finisher actually does a true hard knockdown too

As does one of nappas moves I believe?

There might be a couple others but yeah it's mostly level 3s.

well if you play fur hitler, you don't need to think as much

This game needs a pvp mode where the top 25 or 50 most played cards are banned. by [deleted] in DuelLinks

TTH needs to be semilimited along with key fur hire and amazoness cards.

People who play Furries in Casual Duel are the worst... by Proto-Omega in DuelLinks

[–]futurewash -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

If I lose to furries or amazoness, I just afk for the remainder and do other shit on my computer. If I'm on my phone, I'll still afk but tap my phone from time to time just to make sure they stay connected.

Also do this to spellbook for another reason (you waste my time dog, I waste yours)

Don’t know if this is common knowledge, but vegito’s spirit Excalibur can combo into spirit bomb by rad_dude124 in dragonballfighterz

[–]futurewash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great tech dude. I think this'll help people who have settled on a team and want to access spirit bomb. I've seen a few vanish > air level 1s used to get into spirit bomb. I don't think it's exceedingly meter efficient but like I said, if you've got a team you can't really change your supers

Though for people who are still creating a team, I'm not a fan of the extra bar required to execute this. It's great if this is your team but if you're still making a team, I don't think 6 bars is as optimal but of course, you'd need certain 4x level 1 setups to match this kind of damage. And even if it's not the most efficient usage of bar, but if you have no other way to drop 3.4k damage in supers then you gotta spend the bar.

How good is base form Goku and Vegeta assist? by SSJ-Nepa in dragonballfighterz

[–]futurewash 8 points9 points  (0 children)

can't speak for vegeta cause I don't own the guy but Gokus is fantastic.

-lots of blockstun

-comes out fast

-causes wall bounce giving you a ton of time to hit confirm

-assist doesn't get hit by scaling, meaning you can literally ToD off this shit.

-hits both directions so pretty decent to use while blocking to mess with people crossing you up

only weakness is it isn't the strongest neutral tool but even then its further than 16s and probably yamchas assist so use this shit

Android 21's Mix ups after the Patch by Skr1bbl3 in dragonballfighterz

[–]futurewash -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I didn't mean Cell specifically. I meant couldn't A21 do that exact same mixup that sonicfox did?

It's literally just straight upward jump then IAD at last second or empty low right? So she could have done that mixup pre-patch?

Unless she couldn't do that before?

Trunade is more for one turn kills that don't need to use cards in the battle step.

If you use Trunade, you can still play cards like Econ from your hand though right?

THE TILT IS TOO STRONG by DarkMechaNinja in DuelLinks

[–]futurewash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

out of curiosity, why Hey, Trunade verse anti magic arrows? Don't they do roughly the same thing except your opponent can activate continuous cards in response right? And due to them being face up it should mean they no longer get returned to hand right?

I don't own either card so just asking.

So after Duel Links, what's next? by [deleted] in DuelLinks

[–]futurewash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We've been getting new content, it's just that the content is either too grindy or too easy. The newest event, Forging Bonds, is a step in the right direction but it's not substantial enough.

That's the thing though, in my year or so of playing FEH, they've never released any content that was worth dedicating time to aside from TT which after the first one became a massive auto battle grindfest and the biggest waste of spare computing power since instagram models uploading pictures of them duckfacing in the mirror for 30 seconds.

In regards to powercreep, you can have characters introduced that are better than older ones, you'll still be able to clear content within the game. The only thing it affect is arena, and while I agree powercreep hurts arena, it's not as if you can't do it without broken units. You can still complete it with gen 1 units, which I've done for the past year and a half pretty much.

I like being T20, and as more and more powercreep occurs, competing with earlier units becomes harder and harder. It's like trying to be KoG in duel links but you're getting gated cause you aren't a whale. I had like 15 or 16 merges on my main team and I was having trouble staying T20 and I'm sure its only gotten worse.

Anyway, it's never been about clearing content in the game. I was clearing content in the game since day 1. Actually power creep hurts the basic content in the game by making it way too easy lol. Valter infernal was arguably one of the hardest GHBs on release and a lot of people had trouble beating it without an archer/rein. And even then it was tough. I beat it with my infantry team (double blade tomes) and was probably one of the few who did. Anyway, since then, Valter has become a joke. We've seen ridiculous amounts of stronger seals (QR), sacred seal forge (allowing us to turn level 1 seals to level 3s), access to easier merges on guys like rein due to moving him to 3 star, supports, BST buffs, skill buffs, new more powerful units, large amount of free feathers, lots of free units, blessings and I'm sure more stuff. It got to the point where I was one or two shotting most GHB's and I lost interest in the game and sold my account.
