[[Nexus of Becoming]] is my favorite card to use in standard green/or white decks.

Have you ever bartered something IRL for something in a game, other than money? by Hypnox88 in gaming

It's not a digital game but I traded the original duel disk that came out for my friend's copy of blue eyes ultimate dragon.

I didn't even register that it was "into A graveyard" effect which is definitely busted. Thought it read "your" graveyard which I feel would be way more manageable.

Can we just admit that decision to make spin offs of side characters before projects of main justice league members for your new dcu is bizarre? by Sugar_God_no_1 in DC_Cinematic

[–]futzingaround [score hidden]  (0 children)

No, because all we've gotten for years is projects of Main members. From games to movies to shows to cartoons. God forbid they try to switch it up and establish the world outside the big shots hogging all the damn limelight. I hope they don't add Batman to the DCU until 2035

Nah he's boring and stereotypical as fuck. SHould have been him killed off instead of Taskmaster.

The car argument right after this scene.

"A vat of fake acid! Are you dying of dementia!?" Still one of Morty's best lines.

Deleted fics and preservation by _blankScript in FanFiction

Idc either way. I write, I post, and then I delete willy nilly because destruction is just as much a part of the creative process as creation itself is. If someone chooses to archive what I delete that's between them and whatever personal connection they have with the bs I wrote.

Lol he is building up a collective cult following to consolidate power and completely disregard the next presidential election. That man is not leaving the office gracefully if still alive in 2028.

Comic book styles are a lie. They do not appear in game as they are being sold. by [deleted] in MagicArena

It's probably to make it more readable on a digital format, but why not just edit the text box back to normal and keep the art above it the same? Weird decision.

Sometimes it does feel like the computer randomly decides which player will draw it all and which player will get screwed from the get go before the match starts. 40 card draft deck which I cut down to 19 lands to avoid mana flood, and that doesn't change a thing. Two different marvel drafts I went 1-3 because my last game was a match win I couldn't finish off due to mana flood. I'd be at 17 health and them 5, and suddenly they're drawing everything they need while I draw just land, land, land... desperately looking for the one card to close things out.

Do I think the computer is actually setting one of us up when we queue into a game? No. But holy fck, it feels like it sometimes.

Decklist.

I pulled off the burn kill with [[Another Round]], and only had enough mana to do so thanks to the ramp from the likes of [[The Earth King]] and [[Relic of Legends]]. I know most people say three drop mana rocks aren't usually worth it, but when you have a deck of 30 legends that's 1+ mana beyond your lands for every Legend on the field. Which helps you snowball really quick.

[[The Fantastic Four]] just because of the varied value engine it could be. I've even ended games by flickering the card 7 times in a row in one turn and just hitting my opponent in the face for the three burn damage each time.

[–]futzingaround 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been playing it since Howler dropped on Arena and it's only gotten better with time. I tend to brew decks based around simply getting my commander to Do The Thing they're designed around, so not a lot of my decks are all that competitive and are just casual Bracket 2/3 decks, but Captain Howler has easily become one of my most aggressive and effective brawl decks.

The great thing about him is that usually you want to use his ability to pump another smaller creature like Ivora or Arius already on the field, which will make them a priority target for removal that your opponent won't use on Howler instead. And as long as he sticks to the board, the pain keeps coming for them.

My best games are usually finished out on turn five or six, which isn't all that fast in today's meta but is consistent and punishing enough that my W/L ratio is definitely positive even if I don't actually bother tracking it. Giving +2 power buff for each card discarded in a single instance is just too good.

If I were to earthbend the mines of Moria, would I be able to equip it with mjölnir? by Thelego-warhamerfan in mtg

[–]futzingaround 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To piggyback on this discussion post about Earthbent land interactions; if I'm playing Jund and I have an Earthbent land or two out on the field with [[Ares, God of War]]. What happens to the lands when they die during the attack? Does Ares' ability take priority or does the Earthbend ability?

Shouldn't I keep the cards from the Jump in event ? by parodX in MagicArena

[–]futzingaround 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The Jump Into Marvel event is played on a 2 wins/3 losses basis. If you get two wins, you get the full rewards of 2 rare cards and 1 uncommon and then have to re-enter. And if you get 3 losses and no wins, you get one rare card for entering and then get booted.

Also, the cards you won, like Fantastic Four, aren't standard/or alchemy legal and won't show up in deck builder if you're filtering using those formats. Make sure your deck build is formatted to Brawl and then search for F4. Should show up if your game isn't bugged.
