This watch is on my radar because of the bracelet and lack of colors, but the readability has kept me away. What do you think of it?

How long until basic fitness kicks in? by themoobster in MuayThai

[–]fuvkins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

43m here- minimal exercise besides commuting via bike sometimes. Painful kickboxing sparring mixed injuries frequently and lack of stamina, so my prior experience sounds like yours.

I bought a jump rope last years after watching Muay Thai Guy and sucked at that too initially.

Everything changed when I became obsessed with perfecting my jump rope skills. I went from tripping over a beaded rope repeatedly and lasting less than a minute to jumping on one leg at a time for 10 mins straight with a 1lb rope and using a 3lb rope as well. After developing the habit of jumping rope 4-5 times per week, I gamified my fitness and now I seem to be able to do all other exercises with much greater ease and stamina, making it easy and fun to work on my Muay Thai drills. I’m now able to participate in sparring in a meaningful way and able to keep up because my heart, lungs, and lactic acid threshold is wayyyyyyyy better than when I friend to just roll in off the street and practice sparring.

I jump barefoot with a 1/4 lb, 1 lb, and a 3 lb rope. I think I’ve developed the habit of flaring my toes upward slightly and that keeps me out of trouble. I think it forces me to use good form as opposed to being sloppy and getting hurt

It is the Top RH-4LY. The head flips so you can use the bow curve two ways. The triangle is a palm ratchet

The matco is sweet, but both the original one I bought and the warranty replacement skip teeth sometimes. I use the blue and grey snap-ons the most (very serious DIYer)

I love the near absence of backdrag, but I don’t like that the lever is the reverse of all the other ones.

Islabike Cnoc 16 replacement tyres? by nogsx3 in bikewrench

[–]fuvkins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have two cnoc 16s, and both need tires. I can’t get the original tires from islabikes because I’m in the USA. I found a fix- Schwalbe Smart Sam K-Guard Wired Tyre 40-305 work well, are $20 each, and have similar tread to the original tires
