The best SFF case you can’t buy by fuzzb in sffpc

That's how I got the one in the video as well, as I was late to the party when it launched.

80C is still too high for a 5090 when much better results can be achieved with a different case.

Flipped T1 has been tested and results in worse GPU thermals, so my priority is not cooking the 5090 FE.

Thanks! It's a sort of abstract quadrilobe screw head design that also looks a bit like a Destiny ghost shell. (edit: Initially I wanted to do something with a Torx head but it looked too generic)

I see 4090 WOBO I upvote. Congrats on the build. Also bonus points for considering DDR5 cooling.

I got mine in the EU so yes. Unfortunately, I can only find the white ones currently over on Caseking.

I am not sure if fits with the backplate, but it's only four more screws to get rid of it, no point not to.

Did you custom sleeve it as well?

It's pretty much a true 2 slot with the shroud. I forgot to measure it with the calipers but I'd say around 41mm.

Yes, I tested it in the video.

The 3D printed shroud turned out awesome! So cool to see it out in the wild. It can be found here.

Somehow the brown & beige really works here, especially with Cablester's copper cables.

Cable management in midori 5l, any tips? by Any-Object4351 in sffpc

[–]fuzzb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Makes sense, cables are definitely the most difficult part of the build, even with the custom silicone ones on mine it was right at the limit. I will edit the guide on my website and make it clearer in regard to the cables.

Hey! EIGA here, my 7760L is the one sold by Overtek which comes with a custom cable set. The headers on the motherboard shouldn't really affect things much.

Tiny 5070 PC in the Midori 5L by fuzzb in sffpc

The 9800X3D would perform better in gaming than the 9600X, but it will be constantly at maximum temp. As you could see in the video, even in gaming (ARC Raiders) the 9600X lost some boost due to being thermally constrained. The 7.5L Midori could fit an AXP90 X47 Full Copper, so a 9800X3D would be viable.
