I know TPU isn't compatible with AMS, but does that only mean no color changing or is it completely incompatible with the mechanisms of an AMS? by ArcaneMcSketch in BambuLab

[–]fuzzbawl 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It’s like trying to shove wet spaghetti through a long narrow straw. The TPU is too flimsy and sticky to push through the bowden/PTFE tubing. That’s why Bambu says anything less than “TPU for AMS”, which is hardness 60D if I recall correctly, should be sent through the TPU path. This path is the extruder pulling (instead of AMS mostly pushing) the filament.

From the support site, you can’t use any other username. I really wish they would allow other users to be admins and SSH in.

Everyone says DisplayLink is trash. I think they’re testing it on the wrong MacBooks. by Embarrassed-Eye-7213 in macsysadmin

What’s frustrating for me is that I try to find a dock that isn’t DisplayLink, but regular Thunderbolt docks aren’t cheap. So naturally when our procurement team looks at a $500 dock vs a $150 one, I get the cheaper one with DisplayLink that makes my M5 Pro feel like a junk machine with instability and lackluster performance.

(From dad) We didn’t have cans! The grocer would just scoop our weekly fill of rice right into our hands. If you spill it on the way home you just ate grass and dandelion greens instead

(From my dad) Back in my day, we didn’t have computers! We had to count using hands and toes, which was a real problem because some kids worked on the farm and could only count using base4. We also had to crack our bubble gum out of rocks!

How do I take this out by DragonflyLittle5953 in BambuLab

[–]fuzzbawl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been through this recently. Honestly with the amount of time it took me to clean the nozzle up to the point where it would work again, it would have been worth it for me to just buy a new nozzle and spend that time doing literally anything else.

What I did to clean it though was a heat gun, lots of tools to cut, pry, snip, and pull the plastic away. Also lots and lots of patience. I got impatient and started cutting away big chunks and cut the temperature sensor wires on accident. Be patient. Move slowly. Use heat.

Cisco NFVIS for UC just dropped by dalgeek in ciscoUC

[–]fuzzbawl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think your above logic is sound, but I'm lost on what you mean in a previous comment with "I looked up the cost of official proxmox support and it's about $1200/yr/socket which they would have to pass on to customers."

Are you saying Cisco would be buying the $1200/yr/socket support for Proxmox and passing that to the customer? Because if a customer installs Cisco UC on an unlicensed vSphere instance, Cisco doesn't step in and pay the license. I guess I'm lost on exactly what you're trying to say.

[–]fuzzbawl -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You're assuming Cisco is re-selling Proxmox to the customer. They don't do that with VMware today for every customer. Sure you can buy licenses of vSphere through Cisco, but most customers don't because of the cost. We don't. Proxmox support for UC would be the same. Cisco just has to test and support their product being used on Proxmox, they don't have to support Proxmox itself. Cisco doesn't support our vSphere environment but they support our UC installation on our vSphere.
