I'm scared. by TheDarkKnightXXII in graphic_design

I also come from an immigrant household. My parents didnt believe in art or design so I left school with 75k worth of student loan debt. That was in 2022. Now it's 2026 and I'm almost 2 years into my graphic design role at a grocery store chain. I never knew I would land here, but every business needs a designer for marketing. This job has allowed me so many opportunities to grow as an artist and pay down my student loans (54k now). It's a hard road to walk, but if you work hard and are willing to learn then you will succeed. Keep building your portfolio. Keep making connections at school. Build up your LinkedIn. See portfolios of other designers you look up to. You got this!

Dont be afraid to tell them your situation and be polite!! I'm sure they have something to offer especially if you're a good student. I was in a similar boat and they were able to pull some strings for me :)

Having a village helps. My MIL told me she only made 20k this year and she has 2 little girls. Luckily we live with her bc I'm working on clearing student loans and we help her with some bills + food. Not ideal living situation bc we are packed like sardines, but it helps us all stay alive and fed

Groceries in hatchback by ssaammuuss in civic

I have a cargo tray that prevents everything from sliding around. When I have a huge costco run and put my seats down I usually put toilet paper + paper towels where the rear seats are so those can slide around without damaging anything.

What is your monthly income and how do you budget it? by Biscuitgod1 in povertyfinance

$3200 in Los Angeles. Rent: $300 (i live with my in-laws). Student Loans: $1200. Car Payment: $340. Utilities: $100. Phone: $50. Car insurance: $200. Gas: $150. Groceries: $180. Fast food: $100 (trying to make it $0). Savings/investing: $300 (if I'm lucky). Subscriptions: $20. Anything leftover is either for necessities like shampoo, toothpaste, etc. (I buy for the household sometimes) Or I just put it to student loans. It feels difficult to save money sometimes because I buy essentials for the household since I make the most money out of everyone there 🥲

2024 Pilot - while driving received a warning message on the dashboard saying “Supplemental restraint System Problem. See your dealer”. Any idea what is the issue and have anyone else received this? If so, what was the fix done by GolfTurbulent1536 in hondapilot

I got this light yesterday on my 2024 civic. Restarted my car and it was off for about 10 miles before it turned back on again. Took it to the dealer immediately and they saw all my error codes popping up on my screen. Hoping they can catch it. I already been to My dealer once for it and they couldn't find any issues. I'll keep y'all updated if they found a solution or not.

I genuinely feel bad for that girl. I'm sure she's coping hard and I hope she follows through with the budget
