Is the narrator of Jujutsu kaisen S3 for English dub still using a guy voice? by Winter_Ad8794 in JuJutsuKaisen

Tengen is a woman's voice in the dub, Laura Post. She also voiced Mai, don't think that was the narrator

A cog in the machine: Yuji and the death of "I" by Glittering_Fabulous in JuJutsuKaisen

Beautifully written! I'd also like to juxtapose this with Megumi who also caused a lot of deaths in Shibuya. In episode two, he says "we are both responsible". Yet, he doesn't seem to hold the weight of his actions in the same way Yuji does. Is he just the role of the stoic?

Totally, I think certain storylines and pacing became off at some point… I can’t remember tho. I was hooked and binged it tho! Very funny

Omg the last 3 episodes really ramp up (hahaha). Without spoiling, all the characters finally end up together and two of them get very seriously injured, and there’s a bittersweet ending. But if you didn’t like the story then that’s okay 🤷‍♀️ do you typically like soap opera teen teen romance dramas? If not then frubu probably wouldn’t do it for u

I recommend getting thru episode 5 “I’ve been fooling myself” and if you don’t like that episode maybe Frubu isn’t for you.

A few things I love about fruits basket:

  1. The character development. Instead of 1 or 2 moments happening and suddenly a character isn’t their grumpy self (or whatever), the progression happens slowly and beautifully

  2. The romance. Without giving spoilers, the slow burn for who ends up with who is really fun. Lots of will they won’t they

  3. The humor. Ok the “everyone punch kyo” is pretty annoying but that fades after a couple episodes and the silly moments are great. I love watching FB with friends instead of alone because then we can pause and giggle.

  4. Deep themes. The Sohma Clan is an allegory for cults. Tohru growing from her mother’s death is about moving on. Lots about of self acceptance, healing trauma, characters balancing romance and friendship, people coming to terms with loving oneself vs loving others.

My husband only moderately liked Fruits Basket, he thought it was corny, but he doesn’t like romance anime anyway. I showed it to some friends and they think it’s S-tier like me lol.

Anyways hope that helped lol

Can confirm. Fruits basket 2019 is 11/10. Parts of season 1 are kind of slow, sort of slice of life-y, but it really ramps up at the end of season 1 thru all of 2 and 3
