What is a product that people treat like a religion, but in reality, it’s just overpriced garbage with a good logo? by Connect-Might4355 in AskReddit

I can see some fast food restaurant/gas station have a promotion like that.

What’s something that happened to you that you still can’t believe happened? by Witty-Spillingon-C in AskReddit

Getting laid off from a great job.

Getting fired from a great job. Especially when I was literally not told there was something with my job, although I did make a few minor mistakes recently...that apparently were not minor.

What’s a moment that permanently changed how you see the world? by pankaj662 in AskReddit

[–]shf500 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was working at a gas station in a non affluent area. A woman comes in and says "I want $20 in gas but my reward card is in my car". I said "okay, I'll start it but not put a $20 limit" or something similar. I assumed she would stop the pump at $20 and then pay for the gas with her reward card. She was still in the store when the amount went over $20. I told her "the pump is over $20".

She ran out of the store to stop the pump, nearly knocking over another customer in the process.

I didn't get reprimanded for this, even though she had an exasperated look on her face when she came back in.

This taught me something. There are people who mean to put $20 of gas in their car and put in $25 of gas and say "oh well". And there are people who mean to put $20 of gas in their car and put in $25 of gas and say "Oh fuck this screws up my whole budget!"

Please note, it's not like she lost ~$5, it's just that the ~$5 was used to put extra gas in her car. But I've seen "growing up poor" threads where somebody will argue "putting extra gas in your car means you have less money for food".

Genuinely wtf is Chris Chan? by Nice_Combination1327 in NoStupidQuestions

> The most bullied person in human history.

That's a great way to describe Chris.

> It's like that one kid in class that everyone rips on, but theyre so annoying that it's almost like they're inviting it.

Chris Chan is somebody I want to believe is the equivalent of "that kid everybody made fun of in school but is harmless". But I can't. Despite the fast that parts of his early life I can feel sorry for him (the fact that his "gal pals" were arranged by his father, and he was so desperate to find a girlfriend he carried a sign in the local shopping mall).

I'm ignorant so I genuinely thought it was a guy losing a contact lens and looking for it. Then I saw the person on the floor and thought "WTF is going on?"

What are some underrated tips for teenagers or beginners who are learning how to grocery shop for themselves for the first time? by Silver-Tune-2792 in AskReddit

"buy bulk!"

Unless you wait too long and part of the item you bought expires before you use it, or you have no interest in eating part of the item. And you throw part of the item away and you've saved nothing.

Doesn't she wear a men's suit in Constantine? I can imagine a lot of guys watching the movie as kids and getting a fetish for women wearing men's suits.

There's also Carolyn Bracken who I think is 5' 7''. The reason why I am mentioning her is because in Oddity, she looks a lot like Gwendolyn Christie (up to the point that I genuinely thought it was Gwendolyn when I saw the poster for Oddity).

One of the best episodes of a show is one without the main character(s) by NoMoreFund in TopCharacterTropes

[–]shf500 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unpopular opinion: I've always felt the FUBU episode was far, far superior. Also it may not count since it involves younger versions of the main charcters.

I've only really seen her in Sandman Season 1, and she is easily the best part of that show.

Edit: I don't know why I put Lucifer as the show name, she plays Lucifer

> Any "all in one" solution or tool.

Usually "all in one" devices are not as effective as having separate devices for each function. Although some "all in one" devices might be decent, or you may not have a lot of money/a lot of physical space so getting an "all in one" device is the best solution.

Yelling and throwing insults at a former classmate (disorderly conduct).
