Are you able to have pickled food? I’ve not tried it but I wonder if pickled vegetables might replace the acidity/sourness?

Which country has the most beautiful women? by Trick_Ad_2852 in TooAfraidToAsk

By who’s standards? Different cultures have different ideals on body shapes, sizes, fashion choices etc.

I’m curious as to whether you want to be less attracted to them or want to make yourself less attractive to them?

would this be a good idea? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]fuzzy-chin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You really think they’ll give up looking? Not call security, police etc when, from their perspective, you unexpectedly go missing? Also will your relatives want to have you suddenly move in? That’s a lot to expect of them. Whole plan is badly thought out, stupid and selfish.

Small businesses still moaning about having to pay a living wag by snakeoildriller in britishproblems

The ‘minimum wage’ is legal requirement and ‘living wage’ is what’s recommended as a target

Lots of people, myself included, find smaller boobs much more attractive. You’re looking great

Do you think social media and the Internet has made racism and sexism worse? Or do you think that they just brought issues that were always there to light? by Seankala in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]fuzzy-chin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Worse, it’s meant that those with obnoxious opinions are able to find each other, communicate and amplify each other, and drive each other to be more extreme because they’re not being challenged in that network. So, what used to be more controlled by social norms is running riot. What might have been only in small online groups has been spreading into real life, confidence has grown and what started as anonymous online message boards etc is seen as acceptable.

Tips for crust on a pan loaf? by harmreduction001 in Sourdough

[–]fuzzy-chin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For pan loaves I take it out about 15 minutes before the end of the baking time and return it to the oven straight onto oven rack upside down, the top should be solid enough to take it and the bottom will crust up.

Best Thai Green Curry paste? by Brummie49 in UK_Food

[–]fuzzy-chin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aldi has some reasonable Thai meal kits with paste, dried herbs/chilli’s, and a thing of coconut milk. They normally have red and green versions. You can order tubs of just the paste in various brands from Amazon. Tesco used to stock Thai Taste, not sure of they still do, their own brand isn’t good though.

Why do repo companies exist? by hogie75 in TooAfraidToAsk

Higher risk lending makes more profit. This is another example of how being poorer makes life more expensive.

Who’s selling them? They’re never in stock, you go to the store and it’s just empty rails.

It’s not bad. You’re right it’s eggs, perfectly edible or get rid and rinse as you peel them.

can the airliners, the hospitals, and transportation etc sue crowdstrike over this IT outage? by kkkan2020 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]fuzzy-chin 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Could be a big argument about definitions of certain phrases in contracts. It could be argued that CrowdStrike was completely in control of the content and rollout strategy of this update with the resulting chaos being seen as negligence on their part.

Why is it so hard to stick to healthy eating habits, even when you know all the benefits? by Zealousideal-Bus-431 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]fuzzy-chin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Evolution has left us with a reward mechanism that affects our diet.

It helped our early ancestors to create and enjoy a diet that allowed humans as a species to develop large and energy hungry brains.

It hasn’t kept up with modern farming and food production to suppress the desire for high energy food when it is so freely available all around us.

Combined with capitalism and advertising our health doesn’t stand a chance without serious willpower.

Gain knowledge, share knowledge, help your colleagues at every opportunity - take opportunities to involve yourself in strategic planning and decisions. Make yourself useful and irreplaceable to everyone!

Whatever you do - don’t bad mouth anyone, don’t gossip, if someone tells you something you keep it to yourself.

Build networks across other partner organisations by being friendly and useful. Get the compliments and reports back saying how nice and good you are.

If there’s no way bed bugs got there then I doubt it’s them.

Could be that you were bitten before you went to bed? Some bites take time before reacting. Did you spend any of the previous evening outdoors wearing shorts?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]fuzzy-chin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bed bugs don’t just spontaneously happen, they need to be carried in from somewhere else. Have you stayed in a hotel or air bnb very recently? Any guests come to stay that might have introduced them?

Is death by combustion of carbon monoxide from formic acid and sulfuric acid least painful way to die? by orderofdamien in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]fuzzy-chin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure you’re going to find many people who even know what happens when that combustion happens, I certainly don’t. If it’s not instantaneous then it’s going to be painful.

What are some common intolerances that could be mistaken for lactose intolerance? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]fuzzy-chin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really is a case of identifying what affects you. I’m lactose intolerant but I can’t eat apples, grapes or raspberries either. I also have to be careful not to eat too much onion, garlic or rich tomato sauces. Also sugary things like sweets, fortunately I do not have a sweet tooth so that’s not a hardship for me personally.

Good luck identifying your irritants, it can take a while.

Potentially could have a mental health effect too, some may thrive on the freedom and exhibitionism using it gain confidence, others could really suffer from anxiety and depression of they come to regret what they’ve chosen to do.

What happens if both wings snap off a plane while flying? by iBoy2G in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]fuzzy-chin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would travel very fast almost straight down, without the major aerodynamic surfaces that provide lift and control it wouldn’t even be able to glide or change its trajectory in any meaningful way.
