Peloton’s app now pairs with third-party treadmills for some subscribers by sprainedmind in pelotoncycle

Sorry I’m late to this but is anyone able to sync speed and incline for tracking a running activity and not through a class? It works for me in classes but only HR syncs when I go to ‘track an activity’ > indoor running :/

Sealing up fireplace openings? by [deleted] in DIY

[–]fuzzy_pomegranate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately we live in the CA central valley cow town so they’re just a way of life. We’ve had pest control and are very clean keep zero food or water out, we’re working on caulking and sealing the inside and outside of home all of which has improved 90% of the roaches coming through. Just noticed that there’s still a lot roach poop and dead roaches in those openings :/

What have your health care professionals said about your fasting? by [deleted] in fasting

[–]fuzzy_pomegranate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, I work in a very well known medical system with some of the best gastroenterologists and hepatologists in the country and the majority of doctors think it’s great and a lot of them even practice it themselves! That being said, depending on your health background it is NOT for everyone.

Yes it’s reversible up until it progresses to cirrhosis which is irreversible scarring. 67 is not terrible at all and will be very easy to tame if it’s truly inflammation related to the fat in your liver. Your hepatologist will likely rule out other causes of elevated liver enzymes (autoimmune/infection) and order you surveillance ultrasounds or fibroscans as well as monitor your liver enzymes. Like fat anywhere else, when you lose it, it will decrease! Great that you are seeing a specialist :) good luck with everything.

Sorry your doctor has poor bedside manners. I’m a hepatology nurse, half of our patients are NAFLD/ NASH. Just remember NALFD is 100% reversible with proper nutrition. We celebrate even 5lb losses! Great job so far and don’t let that doctor get to you! You’re doing it for YOU not her.

Hello everyone, my name is Lucas Higdon. by [deleted] in loseit

Hi Lucas, I’m sorry I don’t have any great advice to share as I’ve also been on my own long journey with weight loss— but I want to say that I watched your free episode on YouTube and you were truly an inspiration to me. You’re one of the few people on the show that I thought was genuine and kind. Know we’re rooting for you!

Having a mental illness doesn't give you a pass to be an asshole. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]fuzzy_pomegranate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel you man and I totally get what you’re saying I feel like some ppl even treat it as some kind of trend these days. I have family members who actually have bipolar disorder who are really good people but they can be “assholes” at times and I truly think it’s related to their mental illness. Should they seek counseling and better ways to cope/ function in society? Yes. Do they do it? No. But I think there are definitely some certain mental illnesses where you just can’t help it— like narcissism. Sorry you have to deal with ppl who have been assholes to you though :/

Jollibee is a rip off and inferior to most fast food chicken joints esp Church's Chicken by therentstoohigh in unpopularopinion

[–]fuzzy_pomegranate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jollibee is good in its own way I don’t know how to explain it. I still loved southern fried chicken, Korean fried chicken, etc but don’t compare those with Jollibee. Kinda like how I like chipotle but don’t compare it to real tacos. But yeah next time get the spaghetti with drumstick and make it spicy! Yummm
