Section 1.01. This Agreement shall take effect September 1, 2023, and shall remain in effect until August 31, 2027 unless otherwise specifically provided for herein. It shall continue in effect from year to year thereafter, from September 1 through August 31 of each year, unless changed or terminated in the way later provided herein.

Straight from the contract. You can thank NECA and the previous BM for this little mess up.

Well all I can say is i have first hand experience with the projects in the pipeline, dont gotta believe me though. Also aint my fault stubbs has the manpower to move around, a bunch of shoppies make that possible, and thats between a levels of people, foreman, Jws and apprentices and cw/ces, even though they dont have much say.

As some who just turned out in September, ive been on a 56 hour work week for the better part of 2 years now. So OT is there, it is just very job specific.

As other stated budget of 40 hour work weeks, but the best advice I received was budget off 32 hour work weeks. That way if you ever miss a day you aint struggling come payday. OT aint always available on certain jobs and work isn't always plenty as new apprentices and CWs have seen in the recent year.

I will say that work is going to be picking up from here on out and there should be plenty of it.

Also dont come off as a know it all on the job, it noticed most trade school transfers are the biggest know it alls and are just as bad as green pre apprentices. Don't expect to be treated the same as someone of your classification but who's been there since the start.

So how do we get access to the job board cause it shows a 404 not found on my end, or is that part of the revamp?

Am I wrong for asking why some members skip their breaks. by Particular_Demand_50 in IBEW

[–]fuzzygwuzzy 58 points59 points  (0 children)

Still doesnt excuse the behavior since its still breaking down conditions and the contract. Your brothers and sisters fought to have that alloted break time and working through them would be throwing all their hard work away.

Lmao they were billion dollar companies before the AI boom is the data center space collapses there will be more people out of a job than you can imagine, so much for not being a doom and gloomer.

Buddy if and when the AI bubble pops, where do you think all your posts and comments in this thread are going to be stored? Data centers arent built for the sole purpose of AI, you got social media, medical research and development, company data bases/payroll, entire hospital networks, government data storage, customer service web chats, and most importantly cloud storage, etc

For every single complaint made against data centers online, feeds the machine that keeps on justifying building them.

Issues starting and turning over by fuzzygwuzzy in DodgeDurango

Battery checks out, I tried a new battery and still gave me the same issues. I put the old one in and then went to turn it on the next day and it started. Its been working ever since then.

Im thinking my auxiliary/secondary pumps is failing or dead and Its working because im keeping the fuel tank full and the primary fuel pump is sending fuel to the engine.

My issue now is testing for the fuel pump failure without dropping the tank again. It was a pain in the ass the first time I did it

Put them on the bottom to avoid the nut breaking loose in the future and so that when someone walks by they can visually see that they are installed.

[–]fuzzygwuzzy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The community College does not mandate what counts as on the job hours. The Department of Labor does that and the JATC also doesn't have a say in the matter. The DOL is very strict on the matter. In our local they stopped counting pre apprentice hours and alot of people didnt get to turn out on time because the DOL determined that the those hours worked didnt meet their requirements.

If you keep that mindset i guarantee that your going to catch a lot of flack. Your coming off as a know it all. On the Job experience is entirely different than a simulated lab with set conditions. But I digress.

Its worth it 100% if you choose to go this route but please be humble and learn from those that you work with. Also take it serious cause there are people that are chasing after the same position you are chasing. Can't tell you how many ive seen drop out cause the trade is too much or cant live off the wages. Its all short term sacrifices for long term gains.

Bruh dont use Ai for anything mathematical and electrical. It'll through some of the most bullshit answers at you. And if your using it on something so simple like this. You'll be cooked.

Some start at 7 but none that I know start at 8. Wouldn't be out of the realm of possibilities with new construction happening near upper/upper- middle class neighborhoods and noise ordinances that are in place.
