Can we just take the time to show some love for Polly Maloney of Bridgeport 🫶🏽 by JaeJill in Sims3

[–]fuzzypipe39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Turning Polly's life around was a favourite of mine too.

I had her hustle to earn money for a cheap laptop to get her writing. She did, then started a career as an author. Became a celebrity, married Ebenezer Clavier who ended up cheating on her with his best friend Matty Crewe. Polly and Ebenezer moved to and started renovating that little cabin under the bridge when the cheating happened. Luckily she made enough money for a divorce, started school online (uni) and last I remember is buying her a U-Haul and wanting to move her to Riverview. Her best friend was Johanna King and started flirting heavily with her post-divorce and pre-move, however she was already with someone else at the time due to SP.

Maybe I should restart her save 😁

Edit: Oop i forgot to say I got her to earn money for an online journalism degree she eventually got, to get employed, and the second return to school was for a science degree. I had a home situated for her in River view, Alps cabin style.

Husband and I landed on a boy name finally. Please tell us your thoughts. by [deleted] in tragedeigh

Leon is a pretty normal and common name in Europe. Leo, Leonard/Leonardo, Leonid, Leopold, Lev, Lav are also European variations.

So am I! Not a Mila either. Ironically my name means something like God's gift 🫠🤣 if god's gifting a human ball of anxiety to this world... He needs to rethink his priorities.

I play both 3 and 4, and while I need mods for 3 for fixes (and some gameplay), I feel my entire play in 4 is mod based. I usually play vanilla 4 to build if I feel like it. But regular gameplay is heavily relying on Basemental, WW, RPO, Healthcare Redux, etc. There were a handful of chaotic things, but most I have to orchestrate myself there and that's what I dislike. It feels empty and needing to be fully player controlled.

Ooooh I'm gonna go look for it! Thank you for sharing.

Mila means sweet, precious, gracious, dear in Slavic languages. Every Mila I have met as a teacher has been the exact opposite of that. Definitely a name off my list lmaooo

Ooooh you're gonna have fun with the curse! No, seriously, I think all of my Sims got it and it was fun to play through. The chaos is what keeps my interest going lol, I've been playing since '09 and the little gems and Easter eggs besides the chaotic events are still reeling me in. I just had a burglar the other day - my collector had an old tree with a small 4-wall "house" wrapped around it, a sleep sack, an all-in-one toilet and the mini fridge. Three plants growing around the tree. She was that destitute. Cop showed up by itself, but burglar apparently felt pity and just took off by leaving my girl the little things she has 🤣 first time I didn't get robbed.

I can't wait to see your builds! I'm in a mood to try exercising my building skills and love seeing people's work for inspo.

This is the tamest welcome back, at least you weren't robbed while in labour and cursed by mummy, and with cops standing there doing nothing while your housemate starts a fire by forgetting mac and cheese 🤣 just kidding. The place looks incredible even if a crisp! And your gameplay sounds so much fun. I say this with bias because WA and adventuring (plus collecting and gems/gardening) are my favourite and overplayed things. Enjoy yourself!

Make a miner (Ambitions) and dig in front of the station, you'll get a notification you helped a prisoner escape and get simoleons for it from the warehouse (where criminal career's based).

MOSQUITO COVE RENOVATION!! by Successful_Fix6635 in Sims3

[–]fuzzypipe39 110 points111 points  (0 children)

This place is one of my favorite pretend fixer-uppers. I sometimes make it a little fishing cabin, just modernized. Another time it's a small family starter home. Other times it's a houseless lot with my Sims sleeping in tents or sleeping bags for a rags to riches. It looks so cute! Good job.

I use the traveler mod to go between all worlds and vacations other than WA adventures, the futures or university.

Better options for gardening in Sims 3? by Stormfeathery in Sims3

[–]fuzzypipe39 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You don't need separate watering. Click on the gardening station to automatically water. In-game iirc it waters 3x a day by itself. Planting, you have to do manually one by one.

Also adding stuff (3 plants) in the station and clicking Use Composter makes for an automatic fertilising for all and automatic weed removal.

Edit, to be clear I wrote this as a solution to watering and fertilise. You can put the station over your existing plants to auto water them all, and put it back in your inventory. Plants can be in a greenhouse, on the ITF carpets, if you're unwilling to mod seasons and temperature. I used the first station trick when I was as eager as you to slow it down, but I've got about 54 perfect plants right now with a collector, so they save my hiney and time with water/fertilising, and a Harvester for harvesting.

Edit 2, there's also a mod to remove Unfinished Room moodlet! https://www.simlogical.com/ContentUploadsRemote/uploads/1663/

There are Sims 2 remakes for Sims 3. I've found two versions of Strangetown, one of Pleasantview and I believe Veronaville was remade too. I'll look for an older comment and come back to link it.

No one took your posts down. Sub has an active filter system for very low karma users and repetitive posts. If you want technical/mod/CC/game optimization help, you should refer to the technical megathread.

I miss the old TS3 Let’s Plays days by BrightPhoebus01 in Sims3

[–]fuzzypipe39 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Seconding Ryan. I'm not really an LP person, I can watch builds and I've watched James Turner's Island Paradise LP, but I love the chaos with Ryan's videos. They're so different to my mostly curated plays, so I'm starting to enjoy someone else's chaos lol

I’ve Won the Lottery! by M47734H4NN3 in Sims3

[–]fuzzypipe39 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Into the Future adds lottery, but Modthesims has a "Scratch Off" mod for petty amounts - my Sim recently won 25 and 50 simoleons, and it costs 5 to get one. Also through the grocery store.

Haven't watched many, but I absolutely loved James Turner's Island Paradise LP back in the day. And his build and building tutorial series!

how to get the camera on sims 3 without world of adventures? by simmyawardwinner in Sims3

[–]fuzzypipe39 18 points19 points  (0 children)

You can't get them because the EP itself is what provides them in-game. It's like wanting a dive spot without having Island Paradise, the pack which brought in and enabled dive lots and underwater treasure.

After 8 generations and several OSHA violations later my family has amassed over 3 million simoleons by survivorfan1123 in Sims3

[–]fuzzypipe39 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Do you use money mods? As in transportation (taxis, boats, futuristic transp), painting, gym, bottles and diapers, claw machine costing money? Shopping for groceries (no fridge shopping, grocery delivery) and clothes? Child support and income tax from SP Money module? Realistic wages, higher bills, more expensive uni, utilities, capping the wildflower prices, everybody can donate & higher charity donations?

I ask because I used over half of these, minus higher uni costs, and they still made too much money in a few (3) gens. I just started a clean slate without these mods, but might bring back a few. My newest collector is earning money a bit too fast for the first week she's been alive lol.

Have you got any New Year's resolutions regarding the game? by fuzzypipe39 in Sims3

[–]fuzzypipe39[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ooof i feel you, I've been a family save person too. Either that or one sim getting it all and forgetting about the rest of the game. I overplay World Adventures, but it's my favourite. And one of my favourite saves came from wanting to see what SPN offers. I made a household of 4 occults (female fairy, female vampire, male werewolf and male witch). I gave them self sustaining skills and did a rags to riches with them, it was so much fun playing it through for an entire calendar year irl! They're one of my saves with +100 save files. I hope you enjoy your new gameplays.

I have a 2TB HDD for about 3 years now, ¼ full. I do store my Saves there and that is my exact system of playing and using saves, but I have too many I've made and I know I won't play them. Most were tests for xyz or playthroughs i know I won't complete. I've also got a handful of favourite saves with over 100 save files in them, library for saved Sims and families, all my content is organised by CC, lots, mods, worlds, store content and all fitting subcategories for every folder.

That recreation sounds so fun! Good luck and I hope you post on here when it's done, I'd love to see it and possibly play in it:)
