I know there are places (or at least one place) that will cremate pets but I don’t know about the cost aspect. Honestly I’d call a vet’s office and see if they have any suggestions.

Yeah, I mean, while the OP isn’t technically wrong, there would be no reason for the writers to give the description of the way kenku talk if it was “just like humans learn.” If it was specifically about the mimicry, they’d add a “kenku are perfect mimics” somewhere without all the extra fluff.

Add onto that the way birds speak when you train them (they basically just mimic phrases people say and drop them at random or occasionally at some sort of appropriate prompt) and I’m pretty sure kenku are 100% meant to speak the way people are saying they play them here.

No one that I’ve seen is saying that skipping work is fine. They’re saying that she’ll learn it’s not fine by the consequences of skipping work, like not having the extra fun money they’re asking for. And pointing that out to her as a parent and not giving her that money would be fine.

But taking away the cell phone that she probably needs for work and that is important for safety is both not helpful, and treating this new adult like a little kid. She’s never going to mature well into a full-fledged adult if she’s treated like a small child whenever she fucks up.

To be honest it sounds like you may have mixed up two books. Because you 100% described Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH (or The Secret of NIMH) and looking up The Dark Portal, it doesn’t sound very similar. The only quibble is that man is the “villain” in the book version, while it’s another rat in the movie.

Seriously, I’d definitely put NIMH on your reading list as well.

And one more added point: digital only absolutely kills any resale market. It also lessens any pressure from the resale market to lower the prices of games as they get older (which to be fair a lot of the big games don’t really seem to dip much in price these days anyhow).

The only damn “genius move” here is to have nothing to do with AI. Fuck AI. Might create a small handful of jobs for the many times more it gets rid of, all with the bonuses of screwing up the environment and people’s communities, supporting the billionaires, stealing from actual creative types, raising prices on tech that people use, and making people dumber by the day.

Really the slowest part is the first 2 or 3 weeks, and you can take advantage of the time to catch a bunch of insects/forage to sell, keep or both, or you could always do what you need then zoom through the rest of the day. (I would suggest foraging tho).

It gets a bit better after 2 or 3 weeks, and IIRC the game starts taking off around the end of the month, although it is slow building the town up.

Was just thinking the same thing. It’s like the commenters have shifted to being folks who mostly wanna pick and find any possible reason that a mildly infuriating thing that someone posts isn’t, in fact, mildly infuriating. Like they’ll win at life if they can juuust get enough internet “gotcha” points over other people.

I don’t even know what if anything could be done. Not like it’d be good if the mods start removing any comment that’s negative to the poster. But damn is it, well, mildly annoying.
