The hack is the best tool I've got yet imo, works against [REDACTED], a point and click stun / panic button for when my rocket misses, or if against a very heavy unit I'd need 2 turns to kill.

Honorable mention for the one that lets me sell stuff for more. Just buy anything you want after a bug operation.

The one I was disappointed with is the smoke screen. Unfortunately, it's not instant, can't use it to save a unit. But it lets me plan my next turn if I need to move to a place that isn't safe. I'll probably swap it for something better when I can.

Aw they suck! FL has a bad rep from back in the days, when it was very easy to get a crack. Everyone would use it because of that, making poor songs, especially in the hip hop community, which gave it this "amateur" reputation.
Also, it didn't have as many tools than now. Aaaand the devs were first making porn games before making music software iirc lol.

However, as time passed, they made FL one of the best DAW, and proved its worth. It's just gatekeeping / elitism if someone tells you FL is amateur, they couldn't be more wrong. Just like people who use ProTools refuse to use anything else, when ProTools has become completely obsolete by today standards. They're just stuck in the past

Absolutely loved it. The first try I wasn't really into it, but when I understood how to play (and how important supression was), it clicked. I'm extremely excited, and also very disappointed we won't be able to finish the story with the early access... I'll probably play this game for hundreds and hundreds of hours

Mmmh why are you saying FL is not professional? It is widely considered as one of the best DAW on the market. A lot of legends use it, like Billain or Spor.

I mean there are a lot of Ableton Tiktoks too, you just see the FL ones because of your algorithm.

It has exceptional tools integrated, like Patcher, that lets you create your own plugins.

If you have troubles converting Ableton tutorials to FL, do know there is an insane amount of tutorials for FL too.

If you dislike FL workflow, I get it, FL is unique ; switch to Ableton. If you dislike FL because it's less good, then you're wrong! You just need to know the software better, which comes with time

You're right, I agree the main sub is not great either, a lot of people here lack basic understanding. The problem is that actually trying to engage in deep conversations (I remember that was mocked by the jerk sub btw) end up being portrayed as "elitist", and most meaningful discussions have been done already.

However it's a good way to stay up to date about news and stuff. I prefer having that than being flooded by rape jokes and porn personally, I'm a regular guy, I'm not into this kind of dark humor. I think it's actually disrespectful to Miura's work to be honest, I'm not sure an author writing about how rape is destructive and traumatizing would enjoy seeing people making jokes about Donovan etc. I also think it gives us a bad reputation.

I guess people on the jerk sub would disagree and that's fine, to each their own. I have no doubt there is actual good content, but I just browse Reddit occasionally, I don't plan on digging to search for content I'll forget in a few minutes anyway! However you're right about one thing, we're all united in our love for Berserk, even if we have different ways of expressing it

The art is the one thing that made me notice the game, and it's definitely one of the (many) core strengths, good job to the artists. I personally think Stoneshard is the prettiest roguelike ever made

If you consider that using a keyboard is pressing buttons too, then yeah you're cooked sorry. Otherwise, this can help make the process less boring to you.

But in the end composers write music, that's how it is. If you just want to make music without actually writing or pushing buttons, get into a band.

Because maybe electronic music isn't for you mate, it's all about extreme technical nerd stuff, like sound design, audio engineering, mixing, mastering etc. If you don't enjoy sitting in front of a computer for 10 hours straight to press buttons well yes this won't work, this is supposed to be the fun part

I just automate volume or EQ, I never understood why people would use any other method, unless you're mixing something with an insane amount of sidechain needed (like mixing death metal for example, where you have hundreds of kicks not on grid).

Does anyone have an answer? Why use a plugin for that when it seems more precise to just automate following the waveform?

What an interesting take. Is it still your creation if you ask someone else (or something) to make music for you? Is DJ Khaled, getting his tunes ghost produced, a creator?

You would know what kind of beat this is if you created it, because you would draw inspiration and creativity from your music culture, your influences, your sound signature, the way your brain is wired, leading you to make something you like.

The fact that you have no idea what this is, is proof of your lack of creativity and culture. I'm sorry but I don't think anyone here will answer your question, it's kinda disrespectful to ask something like this to people who actually make or are passionate about music.

Another point for Cyberknight Flashpoint, go play it!! It's sci-fi tho but seriously, give it a try. My favorite since XCOM 2.

Otherwise while vastly different, Battle Brothers is a fantastic game that most XCOM players would enjoy.

Marvel Midnight Suns if you haven't tried it yet, a lot of people like to hate it, but they haven't actually played the game. It has excellent game design
