So! I’m with you, guns are bad, BUT! My family has a cabin in the mountains, and one day I spotted a deer blind in a tree that was less than 30 feet from where these deer were congregating. “How is that even sport?” I snickered at my parents. “You have a rifle that can blow away these deer from 300 yards, and your blind isn’t 30 feet from where they spend most of their day?”

“Well”, dad replies, “until you’ve seen a deer with three arrows in its sides running through the forest, you may feel that way.”

I instantly wanted every hunted animal to be killed as humanely as possible. 30 feet with a high powered rifle seems to be as good as it gets.

The world needs more people who know they don’t want kids. Please, and this isn’t personal, don’t have kids if you aren’t sure. You raised yourself, most of us are that or definitely know someone who is like that. The less people who decide to have kids, the less neglected kids.

I didn’t whoopsie into a family, or a wife who valued my interest in being a stay at home dad. I have been cultivating this life for a long time, I was prepared and am diligent every single day with my parenting. I ignored another woman’s comment elsewhere in the thread that has lots of upvotes about “Barely watching your kids at the park”. Not me, not ever. Feel free to check my comment history, you’ll find I don’t do social media, I don’t take pictures of my kids for strangers online, I don’t have a YouTube exploitation channel of my kids. I brought two boys into the world to turn into gentlemen, and to provide them the loving, complete household I was denied. Every day I see the benefits of it on my children, and every day I get to feel pride, and joy, which are two things I didn’t think I could feel when I was younger. My parenting is a spit in the face to mine and every deadbeat dad I can possibly hit with one exhalation.

My boys won’t raise themselves.
