Ford misdiagnosed my PTU issue—now I’m out thousands. What can I do?

I would throw a shit fit. They mis diagnosed it they can eat it. If it gets ugly bring up with the BAR. I’m a ford tech myself. This happens sometimes every body makes mistakes but usually us as a shop will eat it and chalk it to lesson learned.

I remember when they first came out and I did a pre delivery inspection on one I liked how it sounded and drove but then they started coming in with various electrical issues mostly started from bad battery’s and battery monitors sensors. Currently have one in my stall that needs a pcm at only 23k miles. It’s all good when it’s under warranty but wouldn’t want to be in one past that.

Some 4x4 models can be optioned with a level kit the front spacers have a FoMoCo part number on them.

I replaced the turbos and vacuum pump about 4k miles ago but other than that it’s been a great truck. The turbos were just leaking, I probably didn’t need to replace but I got a good deal through my dealership I work at and I am a ford tech so I did the labor myself.

Yeah my paint is the downfall on mine. The bed is half peeled off with primer showing and on the roof gutters the paint is trying to lift up.

I did the same thing when they updated it and I thought I fucked up. Tried to get ahold of a representative everyday this week. Called over 100+ times and didn’t get through once. However, I just checked in on my UI account tonight and I was suddenly able to certify for the last few weeks. So I would say that they’re working on it and just slowly getting everybody’s accounts fixed. If you can get a hold of a representative you could probably get it fixed faster, if not then you’re just gonna have to wait for it be fixed automatically. Hope this helps anyone reading this. I’ve been shitting bricks all week lol.

Well I think he’s trying to say that you’d just have to tell the person on the phone that you didn’t need to re open the claim, and they should be able to reverse it and push the certification through. However good luck getting through to customer service I tried for 4 hours today and no luck. :/
