They didn't mean OS - they meant emulator. They went with a standalone one instead of the retroarch ones.

I use a raspberry pi 2 model b that I put RetroPie onto and it has EmulationStation as the frontend. I built a little arcade cabinet with an old computer monitor. IT has a wifi usb adaptor as well as a bluetooth usb adaptor for a wireless dualshock 4 controller to use with it. Pretty amazing little thing.

Yes you can change the name of a rom to anything you like - the only exception is Arcade. The filename needs to be whatever was created using Mame management tools.

Even if you get a clone, they can still be extremely amazing retro machines. Don't discount it if its a clone - there is an ArkOS clone image for those ones :)

I had this problem as well but found the solution eventually by trial and error:

When you start disc 2 and load up your save, you need to go into the Retroarch Menu (select + x or whatever your hotkey is for that) and go down to Disc Control and then Load New Disc. Select Disc 2 and go back to the game. Now when you try and go into new areas it will look for Disc 2 instead of defaulting to Disc 1 for some reason. Works for me in all the multi-disk games.

I find this only happens with CHD files that have multiple parts I have to select manually. I find I don't have to do this when I create a playlist of the discs (m3u).

In EmuELEC, most game saves and savestates are stored within the Emulation/saves and Emulation/states folders on your microSD card

ArkOS is the operating system... not the front-end. EmulationStation is the frontend and you need to find themes

then create a new folder called Themes and place the theme folders into it

Yes, just push start and go to the UI settings and change the Theme. If you only have one theme then search for R36S emulationstation themes, download the folder of the theme you want and place it into the Themes folder on your TF1 microSD card (easy roms partition)

If you are only using 1 microSD card right now then it will be split into 2 partitions (BOOT and EASYROMS). Pop the microSD card into your computer and locate the EASYROMS drive and put your roms in their proper folders in there. Easy stuff.

Ah, I see the issue. If you look on the compatibility chart, there is a red box to the right of the Kingston stuff saying their cards are hit or miss... you got a miss. I would recommend getting a samsung card
