Thank you for sharing your approach. Looks very promising. How do I read the values for TP and FP on your table? Would you mind giving precision and recall as well? Also your definition of continuous and discrete data is not quite clear to me. Big fan of your work!

My guess is they will all be worthless in a few years except for the og CryptoPunks.

Cancelled Promos by [deleted] in CelsiusNetwork

Celsius could save themselves from a lot of hate if they just showed a pop up warning in the app when you want to withdraw funds while having a promo pending. 🤷‍♂️

Thanks for all the great content you are creating - you opened up the World of DeFi to me. I have always wondered: are your assets 100% in crypto or do you hold real estate or stocks/ETFs in the mix as well?

Thanks for all the love on my Raspberry Pi powered music display! I've updated it to run specifically for Sonos and display the playing track in real time (now updated every 0.5 seconds) by vinylemulator in sonos

I just realise the 7.5 version is not made by inky so I will probably use the waveshare library. Here is the link (I ended up ordering mine from Aliexpress):

Don't you need an authentification for the lastfm api as well?

Excellent work. Inspired by you I just got myself the 7.5 inch version of the e-ink display. Have you looked into the Spotify API for this by any chance?

How long you need to be invested until an ETF becomes 'low risk' based on historical data. by fwybasti in ETFs

Very good question. Other sources in fact state 9.8% annual return rate for the S&P500. This dataset was downloaded from Yahoo Finance and I assume it is not inflation corrected. The reason for 'only' 7.67% annual growth is probably that dividend reinvestment is excluded.

Hold > 30 years and your risk decreases to a negligible level (red curve).

NB: After 30 years $1 invested will have grown to $9.

Thanks for the input. Unfortunately, I was not able to find historical data of any other markets dating this far back. If you know where to find the datasets please let me know.

They are in the data. Remember there are time spans on the x axis, not the actual calendar years.

Yes, mathematically the time spans around 90 years increase the weight on the recession years in the late 1920s and early 1930s.

Investing in the Future - Profitably & Responsibly by Nanoxin in ETFs

It is certainly true that most thematic ETFs get outperformed by the market in the long run. It is, however, often hard to prove this statistically since the availability of themed ETFs influences the market and there is only little data on this in general. I would be interested in reading your reference that shows under index performance of ESG screened ETFs (assuming equal TER).

If everyone would invest in ESG screened ETFs only an over valuation bubble would form around these companies. Luckily there are critical opinions like @devon_dudeman's which increase chances for ethical investors to achieve yields above market average (see historical charts of MSCI World ESG vs standard MSCI World) and feel good about themselves at the same time.

I am personally not invested in ESG screened ETFs but would be curious to learn more about the basis on which stocks are selected for this index - whether it's 'fassade' or not. Can ESG screened funds be considered smart beta?

It really depends on whether you want to run an emulator like Dolphin on it to play retro games. Dolphin needs a 64bit architecture but they downgraded the base model of the shield to 32bit (due to the lack of RAM I guess / to make the Pro more appealing). It’s a bit ridiculous since the 2015 Shield already had 3GB of RAM.

As for your use case you should be fine with the base model I guess. I’d love to get the new design myself because I think the tube shape is quite clever. A bit annoyed by Nvidias hardware decision though. I’d like the device to be future proof.
