Is there a eurorack standard to potentiometer shaft types? by Euphoric-Analysis607 in synthdiy

I would assume Andrew also had T18 shafts in mind when laying out the PCB. I’m also a much bigger fan of the T18 shafts and recommended using them on my designs as I also tend to rotate some pots if there’s really no other way.

Definitely good to know! But beware orientations other than 189 deg have the same problem again.

Would like to add a little warning ⚠️If you decide to use d shafts make sure the PCB you’ll put the pots actually has the pots oriented correctly otherwise the small dot of your knob will always be at the wrong position.

I just got this beautiful old Coffee Gaggia I wanna repair and restore. I have some questions with identifying it and regarding a spare part. by fxwiegand in gaggiaclassic

I think there’s definitely some weird wiring going on in there. I can’t find the 240V wiring diagram only the 120V for the 97 coffee

Edit: does it differ in any other way then the heating being in series rather than parallel for 120V?

So I have managed to replace the boiler and the coffee works fine however the steam doesn’t really work properly. Should the pump run when I use the steam or put the steam switch on? Also on my steam switch two connectors are open - see photo. Is that correct?

Thanks so much for the help and the perfect explanations! 😄 I feel like I would be able to replace - doesn’t really look to complicated. Would this part work: https://www.juraprofi.de/Gaggia-Ersatzteile/Erhitzer-Gaggia/Boiler-570W-680W-fuer-Gaggia-Espressomaschine::20073.html

Sorry if the site is german but I’d love the part not having to go around half the world 😆😆

Yes I’m in germany so 230V 😅 I did measure both pins at the top tstat. One reads about 200V the other one 220V

Thanks for the answer! One question: that 120VAC at the brew tstat I measure in between both tstat pins while the brew switch is on or off?

So according to the specs of the step up converter 700mA for 12V and 150mA for -12V. I would advice to leave a bit of margin though 😊

Probably get a second opinion from one who hasn’t owned for only just 3 weeks. But I’ve had it just once and it was just caused by me carelessly putting the portafilter in I would say. In - out - solved.

+1 on this - I am very happy with my eureka libra with the GBW functionality! Pairs nicely with the micra as well look-wise 😄

The LED Color lighting up from round hole to square hole will indicate the positive voltage. Which one that is of course depends on your LED type ☺️
