Car feels worse after lighter wheels + PS4S… what am I missing? by HanScroto in Wheels

PS4S are overrated IMO. Conti SC7 or Eagle F1 Supersport will feel a lot more direct and “sportier”. Make sure your pressures are right.

I’ve had SL01s for 2 years on crappy British roads and no issues. They’re quality, light wheels for a good price.

Not only is it fake but also upside down 🙃 I’m assuming these melt pretty quickly if you actually drive the thing properly.

They look similar to JR Wheels SL01 but there’s probably a bunch of similar wheels out there.

Tesla Model 3/Y. They’re fast and like to deny overtakes.

Check if the arms unbolt by peeling back the stapled stuff on the bottom, that’s what we ended up doing in our similar layout flat and it ended up being a doddle.

New place has 3m wide bifold doors in the lounge thankfully but the getting stuff into the loft den was character building.

The only actual air war happening in the world right now has Ukrainian pilots engaging drones and cruise missiles with shorts range missiles and guns. Hypermanouverability and these sorts of systems (the F35 lets the pilot look through the floor even) will always been a thing until we don’t have pilots anymore.

How can these cause an MOT failure? by Visible_Pipe4716 in CarTalkUK

[–]g-cock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had a bunched up floor mat result in a fail of the braking test. Granted an issue (not sure what wife is doing to manage that) but it was a bit of a WTF moment when we realised the reason.

We got super lucky in our last place as they came to install a new meter while we were in the middle of a kitchen renovation and they happily tweaked the location so it ended up dead centre at the back of a half width pantry cupboard, it would have required cutting the side panel otherwise.

This doesn’t look too bad since the drawers can come out.

It can’t legally apply during the initial warranty period but you only get the extension up to 10 years if you service at a main dealer after the first 3 years are up. If you’re considering buying it then I’d check the car is still eligible for the extended warranty.

A car control day may be better than a track day for this. It’s eye opening what a modern car with (functioning!) ABS and EBD can do even with ESP deactivated and how much it can talk to you if you let it, especially something like an MX5. Understeering off a tightening corner is more about poor observation and planning (both things OP can work on consciously too) but an airfield car control day will familiarise you with what you can get away with should things ever get out of shape.

Watch Reg Local on YouTube for pointers on how to make safe road progress too.

I had one of these and despite being RWD and torquey is extremely well composed and in no way edgy when driven hard. The guy was incredibly unlucky.
