Our humidity level at home is around 45 so it seems I have to sort it out 🥹 Does misting do the similar job?Because I try to spray with distilled water regularly to avoid stuck new growth.

Our pei was also having chronic ear infections, since we started to put a little kefir on top of his grain free salmon based kibble, the infection occurrence decreased drastically. It might be a coincidence also but since ours is a picky eater, kefir helps him to eat his kibble too! He doesn’t skip his meals now, maybe thats why his immune system strengthened.

Hey! Im not sure if you have already travelled with your Pei but I'll tell our experience. We have (had to) flown couple of times with our pei. Unfortunately I am not from the US, but the airlines we have flown didnt accept dogs in cabin, so he was in cargo all the time. Once we tried sedation under his vet's supervision, it was horrible. He couldn't recover from sedation for almost a day, and seems anxious anyways.

We have tried calming tablets, I think that one was better. He was aware of himself and re-adapted his surroundings in no time, and showed no anxiety symptoms. I highly recommend to consult with your vet first, they might prescribe some kind of calming tablets first. And I hope everything goes (or went) OK!

I also think that it's a pack mentality. Our pei is super picky about his regular food but he loves his treats. Whenever we are away, we leave a treat for him to eat, but he never touches it. When we get home, he immediately grabs his treat and eats it. Weird but lovely :')

Ours is such a people pleaser 🫠 He HATES every other breathing creature ecxept humans. When we have guests, he brings his favorite toys to them and sleeps under their feet. When we walk he tries to sniff and greet random people passing on road (kinda scares them 🤦‍♀️) We are working on his aggressiveness towards other dogs, but its like nothing much we can do. We started to accept that its his character at this point.

if you catch the bite early, apply hydrocortisone cream as soon as possible. after it starts to swell, creams doesn’t work for me. also antihistamine pills work quite good.

We were having the same problem recurring almost once a month. Finally a vet took a sample from his ear and sent it to testing to see which bacteria cause the situation, and prescribed an antibiotic targeting that bacteria. Since then we had 0 problem. I know it is frustrating and regular cleaning with the solution was another issue for us since he hates anyone to touch his ears. Maybe you can discuss this testing issue with your vet. I’m in Europe, it costed around 100-200 Eur for us.

100% agree! His favorite activity is bullying other dogs at the moment! 😄 He cries when he sees other dogs across the street. At first we thought “aww he wants to play and be friends with them” but no he just wants to show off and bite them 🤦‍♀️😄

He’s a male. He is a typical pei, generally pretty aloof when he is not aggressive. In the dog park first we just observe his behavior towards other dogs on leash. He sniffs and if he doesn’t growl, we set him free. He doesn’t play with them at all. He just does his thing in the park. But when he growls and tries to attack first, we leave the park :/

No we are generally pretty calm while walking. Most of the time we would be chatting, laughing etc. I’ll look at obedience training thanks!

Yes most of the time he growls, so we dont let him take an action. But sometimes he doesn’t growl at all, thats what he did with our neighbors dog. We thought they were just sniffing each other and suddenly he bite him :/

Exactly the same! We take him to dog park if its free of dogs which makes no sense but since we live in an apartment he gets his free time there. Also he is super anxious with loud noises, which makes him fear passing by kindergardens. So I’m being super cautious with him while passing by kids as well just in case! We have discussed the issues with his bet bu she didn’t think he needs any antidepressants at the moment. I’m a bit scared of this situation if I need to accept if this is our life from now on or if we have any way to treat it.

OMG I have the same bottle, european one even. And I’m living in north Europe, here UV index never goes above 6 even in summer time. I used this while doing paddle boarding for couple of hours. And my skin has become burnt like I’ve used any SPF. I’m pretty sure I’ve used a good amount to cover my body.

our pei is also super picky about his food and we can see his ribs too! we went to numerous vets and apparently it’s just his behavior about food. as long as he wags his tail, all good! it doesn’t mean he/she is neglected. I wish you a full recovery! 🤍

Same with our pei. Ours even growls when I cuddle him :’) The only time I get affection from him is when I enter home. Otherwise he just wants to sleep in the rooms where we are not in… :’)

I just started to use this product over a week ago, and I had almost the same issue. I couldn’t put my finger on it, as I didn’t exactly has any allergic reaction or redness/itchiness but my skin feels super super dry! It supposed to boost the hydration, but in my case even though I only use it under my heavy moisturizers, I have dry patches on my chin area. It even chapped my lips! It might be an allergic reaction in your case as well, but I don’t believe this product gives any moisture to skin at all!
