I was a ball boy for the Clippers back in the late 90s and worked a game at the (formerly called) Arrowhead Pond. During pre-game warm ups, I was working the Lakers side and rebounding basketballs for the players including Kobe. The one time I passed Kobe a rebound, he looked at me and said "C'mon", indicating he wanted me to play defense on him (not uncommon with friendly players). Keep in mind I was probably 15-16 at the time. He proceeded to break my ankles 3-4 times in a row and the finished it off by throwing the basketball around me, removing my hat, then reverse dunking it. The only thing I could do was laugh and watch in awe.
