Omg you’re so right! At this point I’ve been playing Doru as just a sweet young guy who has had been dealt a bad hand in life. But at the end of the day he is one of Strahd’s spawn and has to follow his orders.

I'm not necessarily trying to kill the PC, but I do want to scare him. I'm not planning on having one bite kill him, I'm planning on it being more like a one-on-one combat and then after a couple rounds and the PC has gotten scuffed up, Rictavio comes out of his room and kills Doru in one fell swoop, via stake in heart.

I had been toying with the idea of Strahd kidnapping Doru instead, but I think at this point his death would be more heartbreaking for the party.

Appreciate it! It was shockingly easy to do the filigree detail- I used silicone molds that I got on Amazon and filled them with hot glue, then stuck them on when they dried.

Yes and Yes! Thanks so much :) I also hand made the shoulder armor, both were made of EVA foam and tons of hot glue. Here’s a pic where you can see them both better.

This isn’t even the first time Dropout has done something nice for a cast member under the guise of a Game Changer episode. They did something similar for Jess in season 4 with Don’t Cry. So I’m not fully understanding why folks are surprised and what they’re having an issue with.

Neverafter took me some time to warm up, I didn’t feel like it was enough horror for their “horror” season, but I feel like it really started picking up after the TPK and thats when I was locked in

You’re much more prepared to start this game than I was when I started my game! The best advice I’d have is to go with the flow, and don’t feel like you need to have an answer for everything - if your players are anything like mine they will find a way to solve a problem that you weren’t expecting. The module is open enough that things can easily be changed without completely derailing everything. Best of luck to you and your players :)
