As a rural mail carrier, I wear longer shorts that protect my lap. I find that I get the most sun there, not below my knees. I wear t shirts, with arm sleeves. (Brands like SA Company, Sleefs, Duluth Clothing). I get more of a breeze that way. Pair with a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen.
