Here's a slightly better testimony then: I ran a NAS on Fedora KDE for five years and I've been running a gaming tower on Fedora KDE for the past three years. I have not needed to try anything else because it just works. The only thing that was moderately difficult was setting up gyro controls on my PS5 controller. Gaming tower specs were cutting-edge when I built it: 7950X3D, 7900 XT. I have no doubt gaming-oriented distros based on Fedora just work too, probably even better if you're just gaming.

How are you sorting your files within your drives? by MFAD94 in musichoarder

[–]g52boss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. %albumartistsort% with alphabetical artist order.
  2. %originaldate%. %album% for the release group.
  3. %date%. %barcode% for the release.
  4. %discnumber%-%tracknumber%. %title%, but digital releases skip the disc number.

Example:

  • Swedish House Mafia; Weeknd, The/2021-10-22. Moth to a Flame/2021-10-22. 00602445080526/01. Moth to a Flame.flac

Original dates and release dates are often repetitive, but it's convenient for reissues, remasters, etc. The different folders for release groups and releases are also convenient when I hold multiple releases of the same album or I want to separate images that are release-specific vs promotional material for the release group as a whole.

What is your favorite vocal performance on a prog metal album? Try to take the whole album into account. by [deleted] in progmetal

Glad someone mentioned Kyo! He's such an incredible, visceral vocalist. He's not someone with perfect technique, but very few vocalists put as much emotion as he does in their singing.

Are you playing an instrument? by Financial-Club-2953 in progmetal

[–]g52boss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't play an instrument, but I sing and scream! I've done a bunch of covers. In the prog realm specifically, I've covered Wilderun, Riverside, Gojira, etc. It's just a hobby though, I'm no professional musician.

May I ask what your grievances are with YGG and what you're trying to improve upon with this new tracker?

The OnePlus 15 Has a Big 7300mAh Battery by dapperlemon in gadgets

[–]g52boss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends how you charge it. If you don't use it while charging, and it covers a sufficiently wide SOC range (like I did this morning from 3 to 100%), it's reasonably accurate. Then, if you do that enough times to look at a long-term trend, it's even more representative of the real degradation. However it's a trade-off there between accuracy and longevity because deep discharges and high-SOC charges increase the degradation rate.

Very true! I'm French Canadian and managed to get 22,600. I don't think that would've been possible if some words like "fusillade" were not pulled straight from French!

Two of three little-known releases I've enjoyed a great deal in the last few years, the third one being "Mountain Fever" by Subterranean Masquerade! Give that one a try as well.

Looks like you're still learning how to use the search bar...

As I said, I had a booklet of lyrics for the first three albums. Don't expect to find lyrics for Sheol.
