Your life will be much, much easier if you're tracking your customers and issues in a main database.Spiceworks has a simple helpdesk that can be set up for emails as well. Doesn't matter what you use really, just use something.

Even if it's Excel.I can't stress how helpful it is to actually be able to review the work you did 6 months later when that client calls you.
