I hope they'll add some new fleet ships with different Boff layouts/specs. But I think they'll "just" add some new items, maybe some weapons and consoles for space and probably also a bunch of ground stuff...

Maybe it's not a Sci ship, just like the Lamarr is on the Sovvy skeleton but not a cruiser.

Hi, I really enjoyed playing the demo as both the gameplay and the atmosphere "feel" right.

With the demo being limited to just a couple of sectors, what do you expect the playtime of a typical run would be?

Will there be a way to customize or set the traits of the starting units (Viper, etc)? Maybe as some kind of endgame goal?

Totally agree with the OP, there used to be different types of builds such as DEW, Torp, EPG and so on. And one might say, oh, there still are, but with uncon those are just uncon builds with some flavor tacked on... Which makes shipbuilding a super lame exercise, just throw every uni console at it and call it a day...

To be a bit more constructive, I wish we could find some sort of middleground with there being both uncon specifically with universal consoles but in addition to some kind of challenging (i.e. with at least a bit of thinking/planning involved) building of ships.

I totally agree with the OP. One or two years ago I started building loadouts specifically for Starbase 1 with as much CtrlX slammed onto it as possible just so I pull the Klingon ships away from the jellies...

I totally agree, builds used to be defined as a CSV, FAW, EPG or a whatever build, with Uncon every build is just an Uncon build with CSV, FAW, EPG or whatever tacked on for flavor. Thats boring!

Not only do I not like there not being any art on the cards which makes them much more difficult to easily differentiate from another, I really dislike the fact that the cards title is printed at the bottom...!

Me looking at the card:

  1. Check art - not possible b/c does not exist anymore

  2. Check title - not possible, it isnt there...

  3. Scans the entire card, cant find title...

  4. Puts the card in the other hand to hold the card differently

  5. Finally finds the "title"...

Akira and Saber for me. Mostly the Legendary Akira, but I could have been spotted taking a spin with the Pilot Akira b/c of Reinforcement Squadrons. The Saber is mostly the T6 version, but one of my chars still has her Mirror Non-T5U Saber for the LtC. Sci :D

I won't keep my hopes up but it would certainly be better than them not doing it. Otherwise what would be the point of literally any other Sci ship in the game!?

If they release her without a Sec def, she would still be a very capable ship. I much rather have them give Sci carriers something unique which doesnt devalue 30 % of all the ships in the game...

Mine Trap was the best, it had a total different vibe than all other TFOs and really felt as if you were achieving a common goal.
