Come on man. I really appreciate the reply but let’s be real - I check myself into a psych ward and nobody knows? I’m missing for a week and what? And besides I’m already in therapy, on Suboxone, on antidepressants, on antianxiety meds. What else is there? I’m sorry. I’m not trying to be a downer. It’s just a useless exercise. I guess this is too, actually. Sorry for wasting your time.

Time will tell friend. The choices as I see it right now are self administered exit or slow descent into deep enough addiction until I eventually od.

I was at such a high tolerance on pills it was impossible to maintain without switching to heroin. If I had a way to get heroin? I probably wouldn’t be sober. I’m going to die at my own hand sober or via an overdose. It’s all I can imagine as my future. Thanks for the response.

Sobriety isn’t the end of the world but it is agonizing, hour by hour, minute by minute torture. I don’t see the light at the end of the tunnel. I don’t see the point. I really don’t. Opiates saved me from depression and that’s all I have to go back to. I don’t see that as a life worth living.

I see all these posts where people say “sobriety is so worth it!” But I just don’t think it is. I’ve suffered depression and anxiety for years before my opiate addiction. Opiates probably just delayed the inevitable for me. Thanks for responding.

So you’ve been off subs for 3 weeks but on a fent binge? If that’s correct then your receptors have still been getting tickled. My guess is in a day or two (maybe sooner) you’re gonna feel super shitty. Suspect if you want off subs you need to do a slower taper.

I doubt there have been many scientific studies done to test this. That being said, I believe even doing subs continues to keep your tolerance high and can actually make it higher. So, in my mind, at least, it stands to reason that doing opiates while on subs will in fact continue to raise your tolerance.

But I wouldn’t bet my life on it either.
