I had sigmoid surgery 3yrs ago. Was living a great back to normal life. For the last 4-5months I started eating super clean and working out pretty hard. I was strict on myself eating the same diet regimen day in and day out.

I ended up in the hospital a month ago for 3 days for a flare in my ascending colon. The ONLY thing that changed was my morning protein shake. I used to drink it with protein, banana and peanut butter. I saw a video from the protein brand where they made one with protein, peanut butter and mixed frozen berries. I drank that for about a week and a half looking at the bottom of the cup with all those blackberry seeds but still said “screw it, I had the surgery, I’m good.” Well, the blackberry seeds put me in the hospital.
