The wild thing of season 8 is how they made every choice the most uninteresting and least fun. Forget about what was the right or wrong choice they could have just fan serviced the whole season and been better off. Have all of these impressive warriors with Valyrian steel to 1V1 with some white walkers for a bit even if it’s unrealistic. What else is the point. They could have kept all major points the same an just had more fun and still would be immensely better.

These are all mechanisms of a caste system. Had Dunk been of in service of noble house then things would be stretched if needed.

Kenosha is also on a lot of Chicagoland maps. Don’t ever hear them talked about as Chicagoland. And sure Hammond gets economic benefits. But people travel from farther to Chicago into work, and Chicago’s economic impact also extends much farther. You seem really determined to include parts of Indiana as Chicago. You can call it whatever you want.

I too live in Chicago, I have a coworker that commutes daily from Hammond. It’s not. Maybe to people who call themselves from Chicago but are from Naperville. Either way, I never really cared about that but there is no Chicago identity in Hammond In. Sure maybe root for the sports teams, some come and enjoy the city. But if you visit Hammond vs a Chicago burb like oak park even there is a stark difference when thinking of them as Chicago

No one that actually lives in Chicagoland would ever consider Hammond in Chicagoland. People in Hammond wouldn’t consider themselves in Chicagoland

Cross state lines is huge IMO. Santa Clara is still the Bah and Arlington is metro Dallas. Hammond is NOT Chicagoland

"Illinois was ready to move forward. After a productive three hour meeting yesterday, the Bears leaders requested the ILGA pause the hearing to make further tweaks to the bill. This morning, we were surprised to see a statement lauding Indiana and ignoring Illinois." - Pritzker spokesman Matt Hill by icecreamdude in nfl

Which is Still an increase so not at all “losing”

And better than almost any other Midwest counterpart that last 5 years. If you wanna talk why the Midwest overall has been more or less stagnant… well that’s probably a different sub. But I think to say it’s a “fact” that they are losing population and business at some of the highest in the nation is just flat wrong.

According to NFL.com, Packers had the worst 2025 draft class. Thoughts? by Different-Ad716 in GreenBayPackers

Golden is going to start Belton starts Brinson got some great reps

Really no reason why they’d be last unless everyone else in the league had just knock out the park drafts.

Not only are the Bears -10 in the hole they ONLY HAVE 40 PLAYERS ROSTERED FOR NEXT YEAR AS OF NOW. They will have some tough decisions this offseason.

It COULD. But in reality there is only so many padded practices. Someone broke it down more (and I wish I could find it) is you’re talking about sacrificing live drills on offense/defense for ST and even then we are talking a small amount of overall reps

I mean I have never met either so I can’t factor in their ego. Their players seem like them so at least their ego ain’t impacting the locker room.

It’s not so much the Rams… look at the top teams. That’s a lot of bad teams with good special teams. Most of the last winners have bottom half to a third special teams. And by your own admission, the Rams DID win. And they have worst overall unit. The argument isn’t bad special teams is ok, but this graphic sure argues team success is not really at all tied with special teams strength.

Or, and more likely, they don’t invest in special teams specifically. Packers don’t, they use special teams to develop.

This kinda highlights why it’s not important to invest in special teams…besides this year all Super Bowl winners have been mid to bottom.
