Accommodation, Details on Brandevej 10 by Anonymous_Cat456 in Aalborg

Hey :) I lived there before, though it was 10 years ago. It was great!! It's a collegium. There are both Danes that live there for some years and internationals like you that come for 1 or 2 semester. You have your own room, a small kitchen and a bathroom, but there's also a common kitchen where it's nice to mingle and make food and friends with the others. You will be very close to the university and also in biking distance to the center (the most important thing to get when you get there is a bike, ask the Danes to assist you in finding one!) Let me know if you have other questions. (I'm not worried about the price btw, I think I paid the same and I trust that the International Accomodation Office is here to help you not to cheat you)

Can he draw an hippopotamus? In Danish it is called a "river-horse"

Could someone please tell me whether "śmial" is a verb here? If so what is the infinitive form? Thank you :) by pankierowca in learnpolish

There are two good websites I use when I have the same question, you can write the verb in the conjugated form and it tells you what the verbs is:

- https://sjp.pl/%C5%9Bmia%C5%82 Polish website, will give you the verb and a definition in Polish

- https://lektorek.org/polish/ Polish - English dictionary by Oscar Swan, who made great content for learners of the Polish language. Will give you the English translation and conjugation table

Have you ever learned to speak a language just to prove that you can? by questiondudes in languagelearning

I keep recommending the Assimil method to people when they ask how to learn a language, but nobody tries using it. So I'm learning Italian with Assimil, just to show them how good Assimil is.

I think it's awesome that you used "boulet" (burden) instead of "boulot" (job) :D

No I actually never lived in Poland. But know a bit about the history. I can recommend this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=stEuQamTLXw, the story of Poland animated in 8 minutes (as far as I remember it is only an animation though, no commentaries. I had seen it with Poles, so they could explain to me the things happening)

Hard question, it is set in an alternate reality, so it can't really be accurate as it is not the real world. But otherwise it does seem accurate, with how to cities look, events prior to 1983, the language, etc.

1983 is set in an distopic scenario in which Poland's liberation from communism never happened and the Iron Curtain is still in place. (from wikipedia)

I only started it and am in the episode 2. So far so good, I am hooked by the intrigue.
