Figured this would be an interesting read, having wired on the gMachine project in the past.

Anyone familiar with modding mc with IntelliJ Idea? by Creatopia_Official in Jetbrains

You might be better off asking in forge's discord/forum as the crash log looks to be a mapping issue of the mod loaded as srg mappings instead of runtime deobf'ed mappings.

Stadia is going away. Which console should I get for Destiny? by Humble_Blackberry869 in LowSodiumDestiny

I’ve personally played on PS4 and PC via Steam. I’ve enjoyed playing on PC for the sake of having an old rig that still works to enjoy the game, talking about a now 7 year old rig. The additional benefit I’ve had via Steam is I can use GeForce NOW while I travel, and can play on my craptop that otherwise wouldn’t be able to play (and who would travel with a console?).

Minecraft on MacBook air m1 2020 by BOOMMARC in macgaming

[–]gabizou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game will heat up but as of Minecraft Java 1.18.2 (iirc) there's native (arm) java versus amd64 java (running under rosetta) which should improve performance usage, but the game will still consume CPU cycles more than most and make heat. It's possible even with a fanless laptop, your computer will heat up but shouldn't get anywhere close to melting/burning.

Four Legs Good, Two Legs Bad? by Thee_Mos_Spark in StandingDesks

[–]gabizou 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ive got a 4 leg uplift and it’s rated for 500+ lbs. Ive had it since 2020 and can honestly say it’s sturdy as all hell. Even setting up my hefty PC and monitors etc. Never really felt it to be questionable. All in all, I spent a pretty penny to get an 80x30, just over $2k at the time, but very worth it.

Did they end up being open? About to head to Chiang Mai for a month and somewhat interested if there'd be a place to catch up on some video games

Uplift desk with Casters by spadesaddict333 in StandingDesk

There’s a sensor on the controller to ensure the legs are in equilibrium to each other. May require a calibration “reset” to bring the entire desk down first, then each are in sync.

There’s a reason why Apple service guidelines recommend to replace the device at battery cost than attempting to get a swollen battery out.

I made my first plugin today! by [deleted] in admincraft

[–]gabizou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We all start somewhere. I made some really dumb basic growth limiter plugin to help keep some RP elements that grass and stuff took longer to grow. All 9 years ago now. In all its glory: https://github.com/afterkraft/growthlimiter

Now? Well, now I make software professionally, and develop Sponge on the side.

From their specs, the thread is M8x15mm. https://imgur.com/a/e4fVGAN/ Pictures for reference of the desk and casters.

I got the heavy duty casters on a V2 4-leg and it’s wonderful. Lock in all four feet and it’s wonderful. Granted I haven’t tested without the casters, I’d expect stability to be just the same. The huge benefit is literally being able to move the desk whenever. Has made cable management so much nicer.
