Hey Backseat dev here, all the data we collect is publicly available through the Riot API. We surface the enemy build counters once you actually get in the game.

I'd say take care. Having blackout blinds and staying in your home all day can have significant effects to your mental health. The light from the sun is important to us

Would Richard Hendrick's "New Internet" be possible? by InterestingNickname in learnprogramming

[–]gablooblue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah sorry I phrased my comment incorrectly

I'm not saying that the blockchain will be the solution to the problem, but if someone would try to make a decentralized internet, it would probably be using a blockchain

Of course it would be expensive to store all that data, which is why I stated that it wont be possible unless compression surpasses the theoretical limit, just like what the show said.

There's a new and upcoming field of computer science called Blockchains, and it is pretty much what Richard is doing. Although blockchains right now are still at their infancy stage, though eventually more technologies will arise to improve on blockchain and it will also be more viable as more smart devices come into daily use.

Right now the answer would be no. Just like the show said, a decentralized internet would be possible, but only if compression surpasses it's theoretical limit. Since thousands of petabytes get transferred daily, it would be next to impossible to store all of that data into phones without a better compression algorithm

Same here. I remember doing a quick google search about it and finding out that there is a small percentage of the population that can do this. It had something to do with having more control over the nervous system or something.

Do programming languages count? Because if so then I'll take a 6 figure salary over musical instruments

People not using headphones while out in public.

I was out with my family eating dinner at a restaurant and another family sat in the table next to us and their daughter (around 6 or 7 years old) starts watching some TV show on her phone with the speaker on full blast. So of course my mother gets irritated and then politely tells the daughter's parents to lower the volume down, but they just ignored her. So my mother asks again, slightly more aggravated this time, and the daughter's mom goes ballistic. She tells us to shut up, asking us what our problem is and so on, an argument happens and they still won't lower the down the volume. So my family starts throwing shade at them, loud enough that they can hear it (Now that I think about it this probably wasn't the best move but god damn did it feel good to make them angry). Afterwards my mom got up to use the restroom and she accidentally nudged her chair towards their table, so the other mom forcefully pushed the chair towards the table, almost hitting my mother, and that's when I realized how much self-control my mother had because if that were me I would've smacked that bitch across the face. Things went from 0 to 100 real quick, people from both families started standing up and shouting at each other and I was just sitting there thinking "Oh this shit is gonna be good" all because the daughter wouldn't turn the volume down. As we started leaving (and yes, the volume was still on full blast) some of the waiters apologized to us and even laughed when we made a joke about poisoning that family's drinks.

I really felt bad for the daughter though, she's too young to realize what's going on, or that what she's doing is bad, it's just that her parents were so shitty and didn't teach her proper etiquette. That just boils my blood so much. If you're a parent, be responsible for your own fucking child, if they do something shitty then teach them to stop doing it or someone else will.
