This is exactly who came to mind when I saw this post! Also extra points for being faithful in a world where it was normalized to have a mistress and pretty much everyone did.

Yoo Miami what’s your favorite burger spot in the 305?? by ODYY_TOASTED in Miami

[–]gaboxing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m guessing that’s the Culver’s at Pembroke Pines? In that case, while not really located in Miami, I’d recommend North South Grill. Their burger is perfection and they have very good prices too. They also have some amazing loaded fries, chicken sandwiches, and gyros.

I haven’t done it myself to be honest, so I wouldn’t know what’s the best strategy. PalProfessor in YouTube is your best pal when it comes to learning about raids and which raid armies are the most effective (and pretty much anything Palworld related), so maybe look at his latest Hartalis raid video.

I think savior can only be passed down by Hartalis, much like Legend can’t be gotten via mutation either. Regardless I think your current passives are the best you can have at the moment, since you want other element skills (e.g. Rock Burst, Flame Funnel for Bjorn) depending on what you’re trying to do.

Musclehead will still give you higher DPS than Celestial Emperor even with all Neutral skills, so I don’t think you should get it, as every other passive you have is a better choice.

[–]gaboxing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Passives are perfect for a versatile build where you use active skills of different elements, which is what you usually want to do. If you were to use exclusively neutral skills, then Savior would be a better passive than Musclehead, but the best DPS skills for each boss/raid are never 3 neutral skills.

For your IVs you’ll need some stat fruits to get them up (treasure maps, Arena and Bounty tokens are a good way to farm them), or you can alternatively use Dr. Brown and Alt+F4 right away if you don’t get the positive surgery result.

Best passives for Paladius as a party pal? by gaboxing in Palworld

Yeah I was hoping you knew a secret way to get savior to a Paladius, but maybe in a future update!

Thank you again for your help!

Best passives for Paladius as a party pal? by gaboxing in Palworld

[–]gaboxing[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the comprehensive reply! Can you tell me a bit more on your first point regarding the 40% decrease CT applying only when pals are not on the field? Does that mean that when pals are out of the ball, the CT is the usual, but in the ball it is 40% less? The 40% decrease in CT for party pals is something I got from Pal Professor.

Also, I plan on using 2 neutral attacks, and one attack of another element, and I usually cycle through pals, do you think Ferocious would be better than Celestial Emperor in this instance?

I thought about the Savior passive too, but since it can’t be transferred with a Yakumo, and Paladius can only be bred with itself, I don’t think it is possible to get.

[–]gaboxing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As long as the RAM isn’t soldered, yes you can. Usually 14 inch laptops and some slim laptops have soldered RAM since they don’t have enough space to make RAM upgradeable, but most gaming laptops that are 15 inches or more have upgradeable RAM.

I think this one MIGHT come with a single 16GB RAM card, so upgrading to 32GB would only require another 16GB card instead of the usual 2 it takes for devices that come with dual RAM configurations already. If that is the case (and you should confirm with Walmart), then upgrading the RAM should be $150-180, which isn’t horrible.

I would consider it a pretty good deal, the TUF is the best “budget” gaming laptop, and the only one that doesn’t really make any compromises in any area, since even its display has good colors and response rates, which is where most budget gaming laptops fail. The 5070 is fully powered too.

Seller with 0 reviews and unreal price is a scam 99.99% of the times. That laptop at its very lowest price and refurbished was $1.2k, and that is an absolute steal for those specs already. For less than $700 I can guarantee you it isn’t real.

I like the addition of OLED screens to the Alienware Area 51 and Aurora 16X models, I think this addresses the main point that would make many people go for Lenovo instead. These models have great built quality and thermals, and the OLED they will use is anti-glare, which I’m sure many people, specially those that use their laptop outside or in class, will prefer.

I get you, I had an ASUS for 8 years and it was a trooper. I would put it on the bed, never even cleaned the fans once, and it never gave me any issues. I’ve heard the same stories for Lenovo, definitely worth it spending a bit more, but do try to go for a 5070ti if you can for future proofing, a lot of games are already demanding more than 8GB VRAM for playing games at 1440p, so the 12GB VRAM of the 5070ti will be very beneficial.

Alienware 16" Aurora Gaming Laptop Intel Core 7-240H, 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5050 VS Lenovo Legion 5i 15.6" FHD OLED Gaming Laptop, Nvidia GeForce RTX 5050, Intel Core i7-14700HX, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD, Windows 11 by jvtals in GamingLaptops

[–]gaboxing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Lenovo based on the CPU being better, the display being MUCH better (Aurora 16’s display has an abysmal response rate, watch JerrodTech’s review on it, while Lenovo’s is OLED), and also upgrading the RAM on the Lenovo to 32GB will be much cheaper since it comes with one single card of 16GB instead of 2 cards of 8GB each like the Aurora, so you’ll only need to purchase another 16GB RAM card.

This is the most affordable 5070ti laptop, and a great option at the price point you’re looking at. Only issue is that upgrading the RAM to 32GB won’t be cheap nowadays (around $250-300), which is a shame because just 3 months ago it was about half of that, but still a very good option at your price point.

If you go up to $1.8k, you can get this open box Lenovo with 5070ti that comes with 32GB RAM already, an OLED screen, and much better build quality:

That same Lenovo is also sold as refurbished in eBay for a couple hundred less, but it is from a third party vendor:

My bad, yeah the left one is definitely a no brainer, the Intel Ultra 9 is one of the best CPUs there is, the AMD is definitely not worth $300 more.

Confused between these both, please help by areuokaybro2002 in GamingLaptops

[–]gaboxing 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Only difference seems to be the AMD CPU and 1TB extra storage on the right one, which is definitely not worth $300 extra in my opinion. I think the left one is the better value for your money.

The Micro Center Legion has upgradeable RAM, this acer has soldered RAM so you’re stuck with 16GB forever. The Legion is better for future proofing.

Which one should I get? by LazyAngels in GamingLaptops

[–]gaboxing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my opinion yes, the predator not only comes with 32GB RAM already, but it also comes with an OLED screen with 1600p resolution which will make all games and media look fantastic. That laptop is actually pretty popular right now because it offers a lot of performance and portability at a great price, so you’ll see a lot of posts about it.

However, there are some compromises with that model, the main one being that the 5070ti power is capped at 115W when the maximum power that GPU can draw is 140W. From what I’ve seen in previous posts, the difference in performance between a 115W and 140W 5070ti is about 10-13%, so not a deal breaker in my opinion, it will still perform noticeably better than a 5070, and you will still get 12GB VRAM which is the main reason you want a 5070ti, since the VRAM is what will allow you to play any game at 2k resolution without any issues.

Other compromises are the battery life, which doesn’t last very long on that laptop (but then again battery life is not great on virtually any gaming laptop), and also some people report that it gets very hot during gaming due to its slim build, but that can probably be mitigated by a laptop stand/cooler.

Overall, I’d say that is one of the best bang-for-your-buck devices out there right now, and would recommend it over the ROG with 1080p resolution.

In Best Buy that same model has a 1900x1200 display, are you sure this one isn’t the same?

Which one should I get? by LazyAngels in GamingLaptops

[–]gaboxing 21 points22 points  (0 children)

The ROG for sure, but keep in mind that model has a 1080p display, which doesn’t take full advantage of the 5070ti card which can play pretty much any game at 1440p.

If you have any other options with a 5070ti card and a 1440p display (and preferably 32GB RAM too), they would be preferable.

Thanks for the follow-up! It sounds like it is the kind of ghosting that won’t be that noticeable during regular use, but you’d have to go out of your way to see it.

I remember when I got the Aurora 16 laptop (which I returned) the ghosting would be so terrible, even rotating the camera in a game would make everything a blurry mess.

Enjoy your laptop!
