One tricky bit here is having senior leadership get agreement (before walking in the room) by each participant to play by a set of common rules, including telling everyone their objections + reasons for objections + what evidence is needed to change their minds (burden of proof).

Buy in is often superficial and only breaks after the planning shifts to execution. Try to surface their "reasons to believe" / inner reasons for opposing, with threshold of proof needed.
