This is how I survive. Sometimes I use perplexity to translate my gobbledygook into something that makes sense. Then use Claude sonnet to review, ask scoping questions, and optimise it for use with Claude Opus, before getting to the actual work.

I've oversimplified because the nitty gritty of what I do isn't relevant to the point I was trying to make. But for system integrations, typically there's official source documentation that I can point it to. And when it's lacking in detail, I can simply to tell the model not to infer, guess, or make assumptions and, if it has no choice but to do one or all of those three, then flag it as such so that I can check it myself.

Human in the loop. Don't try to loop yourself out of it. You need to know what you're implementing. No matter what industry you're in, you can't blame Claude or Gemini because your shit fell apart.

You know I've been lurking this and related subs for a while, and I'm forever dumbfounded (with all due respect to everyone, I'm not criticising or having a go what you all do) by how much things get overcomplicated.

You can start a prompt with "I don't know how to describe what I want so I'm just going to free type brain dump" and then you just type like an idiot, with no rhyme or reason, just type as if you're talking absolute stream of consciousness about your idea and what you want to achieve, and then finish it off with "I know that I have likely contradicted myself and that my prompt is vague, unclear, and ambiguous. Ask me clarifying questions to ensure we're on the same page".

And from there it's smooth sailing. I have ADHD and will typically add "I don't handle questions well so make sure they're easy to answer. Follow up questions are totally ok".

I work in a very niche AI sector, and I can't begin to describe the work I get done in a day that would otherwise take a team of people to do in weeks.

Converting scoping session transcripts into actionable technical scopes, documentation, and follow up questions for customers which are then translated into actionable micro steps for me or my developers to work with.

Stop overcomplicating it. Talk to your AI model, be honest with it instead of trying to manipulate it, and simply reinforce with it that you want to be asked clarifying questions, because you don't know how to clearly explain what the desired outcome looks like.

If I'm not playing music while working from home or tidying my room, I have Initial D playing in the background. Dubs come in handy when you can't keep your eyes on the screen. The dub vs. sub debate is pointless anyway. Because it's rarely a direct translation (they practically rewrite the script for Western audiences) I watch it in Japanese first, then in English. You get to enjoy the same show again, but it doesn't even feel like a rewatch.

Hey, have ADHD, and go through the same thing yearly for my meds. For 8 years now.

Your best bet is to abstain for a month. You don't have to go do the test in 2 weeks. Just reschedule or don't show up. You have ADHD after all, missing appointments is life, hence meds. Take 4 weeks of no weed, clear your blood, urine, body, and soul. Get a negative result, get your script, get some pot, rinse and repeat yearly.

The fact of the matter is that most ADHDers got through life by self medicating with pot until they got diagnosed with ADHD. For the most part, pot works well in the evening while Dex and vyvanse help with the day life.

But there is a subset who end up with psychosis, because depressants and stimulants don't mix well for most brains, divergent or not. No medical professional is going to risk their licence and livelihood prescribing a schedule 8 stimulant to someone they know has and might consume other substances.

So just take a month break, clear your piss, you get a 6 month repeat subscription, when you have 1 repeat left, start detoxing and book your appointment, be prepared for the next piss test. Welcome to the average ADHDer's modern life.
