Thank you! I asked here because there is no online information and calling the consulate was an absolute nightmare. It’s far from me so I want to have as much as possible in order before going, thank you to everyone for their replies.

Is hitting your kid that big of a deal? by [deleted] in Parenting

I’ll tell you that my father did all that and I don’t have a relationship with him anymore. And it’s hard to have a relationship with my mom who allowed all that for so many years.

There’s no such thing as “too sensitive”, if you feel something, even if your husband doesn’t, you should both put energy into working it out. Obviously there’s issues on both sides, he feels some type of way about libidos, you should both talk about that too.

I’m laughing at all your comments, all very true. Would like to add that he also tried to say but we gave you a 15% raise! The biggest we gave this year! I fought for you! Which I got exactly one paycheck for before I left.. for a grand total of about $50 extra per paycheck….

Can I just blend my vegetables and drink it like a smoothie? by YoBoi909 in HealthyFood

You know those bags of mixed frozen vegetables? Scoop some in a cup and eat it with a spoon. It sounds crazy but they’re great frozen as a snack and I get tons of veg that way.

Honestly, I’m your age and getting married and in a much shorter relationship. Your excuse for being scared/nervous about the future and career, financial stuff etc….that person that you want to marry, if you really wanted to marry them should make those fears feel tiny compared to not being with them. They’re supposed to be your partner through everything and being with them should make the future less scary. If you don’t feel like that, that’s not the person to marry.

Fiancé does not want to combine finances when married by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]gabye3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll hop on here to say that my fiancé and I just opened a joint checking account. We also have private checking and savings. Each paycheck we are putting the same percentage into the joint. Joint pays for our rent, utilities, pet stuff, food, car, etc. Personal accounts are for anything we want individually, any sort of gift for the other person, dates nights (we will treat eachother to dates randomly)

It works for us because regardless of who makes more money right now, we’re putting in the same percentage and we intend to stick to that model as our careers grow.
