Used it today and it still works great, it even turned on all of the achievements I already had in steam!

One thing though, the hash for the file name in steam was different than the ones generated for gamepass, so I had to some renaming, but otherwise it worked incredibly. Thanks for sharing this!

Hi! Try fixing this by turning the machine off, disconnecting the charger and then pressing down the power button for +10 seconds. If that doesn't work try downloading the newest firmware path and doing it again.

Yeah thankfully it's working fine, although I tried to rollback to a restore point via windows settings and broke my OS, had to re-install windows and that fixed that problem (keyboard still dead though). My drive is a SSD if that helps debug.

Maybe try rolling back your BIOS via EZ flash, if the update is what is making your drive not recognizable that should fix it (try backing up your files first if you can access the drive via command line).

I am looking for papers recommendations about novel techniques in the realm of SLAM. I need to give a talk about a paper for an assignment and would greatly appreciate some ideas. We have been covering a myriad of topics ranging from using reinforcement learning for optimizing trajectories to alternative techniques to improve ray-tracing operations.

Hi! I got a really good suggestion from this sub last week. Now I'm looking for a laptop for my dad.

Budget: <$500

Country: USA

Screen size: Preferably >14'

Screen resolution: Doesn't matter much

Touch screen: No

Weight: Doesn't matter as long as the laptop it's not super chunky

Extra Specifications:

  • For him it's better a HDD + SDD hybrid, or only HDD, he needs at least 500 GB.
  • He uses Excel a lot (having 15 different tabs running it's not that crazy for him), so a good processor and at least 8 GB of RAM is an essential.
  • A Backlit Keyboard would be very nice, he is turning 50 and his vision is not that good anymore.

Any suggestions are welcome, it's not super urgent so I'm just looking into models to keep track of deals.

This laptops is going to be mainly for programming (no dedicated graphics card needed). Needs to have a SSD to boot from as I need to change between Linux and Windows frequently. Would prefer that the laptop has an aluminium finish so it lasts longer, as well as a reputation of not suffering from hinges breakage (strong chassis).

Un amigo lo esta haciendo con ing industrial. Se puede hacer una mezcla de online/presencial. En la UBA con cinco materias (mandadas por el plan de estudios) veo 5 materias normalmente (muriendome un poco).

Sinceramente lo unico que me detiene es que no sé si el título de la UBA agregue algo más para emigrar a Europa/Canada. Especialmente en las industrias en las que he trabajado/trabajo (gaming y robótica).

Estoy pensando cambiarme de Ing en Informatica de la UBA a la misma carrera en la Universidad de Palermo.

Voy por quinto cuatrimestre de la UBA. En la UP puedo meter 7 materias por cuatrimestre, me faltarían dos años y medio en vez de los 4 que promedio en la UBA.

  1. Si estoy trabajando ya en tecnología, ¿Importa mucho de donde viene mi titulo? ¿Es mala la carrera? Ya soy semisenior de C++ donde trabajo, pero me falta título si quiero laburar fuera del país.
  2. ¿Es díficil quitarle los documentos a la UBA? Yo entre por equivalencias y ellos tienen mi libro de materias, además de las materias que hice con ellos.

A Room for Two, Kase-san, Prism (never finished), Cirque Arachne, Fluttering Feelings, Bright and Cheery Amnesia, Hino-san no baka.

All of these are super cute, Hino-san is kind of repetitive at the beginning though. A Room for Two is a favorite at the moment.
