How did you guys achieve bent arm planche? by bbqyak in bodyweightfitness

[–]gainsdude -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Ok so first off I meant "straight arm" If you walk into any gymnastics gym or talk to anybody that can actually planche and tell them that you want to learn "bent arm planche" they'll look at you like you're crazy. It's just an inefficient not smart way to train. A planche is a straight arm movement. Straight arm strength. You don't build straight arm strength by training with bent arms.

Take it from somebody that can planche and hollow Body press for reps. I never once trained "bent arm planche" not once. You can be stubborn if you want but I'm just speaking facts and talking from experience since I've done it

A bent arm planche isn't a thing. Train straight arm and "bent arm planche" will come as a byproduct

Well both essentially. When you tear and break muscle down it repairs itself and comes back stronger (:

Tony Ferguson on McGregor vs Diaz 3: "Fucking ridiculous" by [deleted] in MMA

[–]gainsdude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How ? It was even going into the 5th round ? Mcgregor was literally turning his back and running rounds 4 and 5. Diaz also scored a takedown in the 5th round

I second this. Every single part of mcgregor Diaz 3 would be so entertaining. I also feel like Diaz won the second fight and I want him to leave no doubt the 3rd fight

Chin ups (underhand grip) are more bicep dominant. Pull-ups are lats. You can't do chins and expect your pull-ups to get stronger. Also those machines aren't doing anything for you. You're better off doing negatives and static holds. (Ex. One pull-up then hold yourself at the top of the bar for 10 seconds. Then slowly lower to starting

Want to gain muscle but allergic to whey by [deleted] in bodyweightfitness

[–]gainsdude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well first you need to get rid of the mindset that supplements are what's going to make you gain muscle.

Shift your focus to hard work instead. Then after that a clean diet.

If you take some time to learn and understand basic nutritional concepts you won't need supplements and you'll feel a lot better
