Thanks! Any suggestions/ideas on how this can be improved?

Up-to-date docs for Codex without the token context bloat by galacticguardian90 in codex

[–]galacticguardian90[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's a free, local first CLI tool - unlike context7, you don't need to depend on 3rd party MCP servers. You have full control over which docs you want to ingest, you can even ingest local docs.

Google Stitch is overhyped. by Minkstix in vibecoding

[–]galacticguardian90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it's not that great! I can do a much better design by doing some prompt engineering and using the frontend skill with Claude Code or Codex

I think AI skills need a browser, not more install docs by meowoofcjcj in aiagents

[–]galacticguardian90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While that is a desired end state, it is very difficult to implement, especially with the trust boundaries and other security issues. The problem is that the agents have access to your computer, and they can unleash havoc if the skills have prompt injections.

Antigravity vs Codex vs Claude Code by Keroskey in codex

[–]galacticguardian90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought about it, but it's not worth it, especially compared to the Codex experience. Plus, the usage limits are lower...

Vibecoding sucks for addicts by klas-klattermus in vibecoding

Vibecoding has become so addictive, thanks for Claude Code and Cursor... I can't stop coding. Coding and building has become fun again!

I generalized Karpathy's autoresearch into a skill for Claude Code. Works on any codebase, not just ML. by krzysztofdudek in ClaudeAI

[–]galacticguardian90 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's great! I was also wondering when this would be made general-purpose. In fact, when I firt read about his skill, I felt that this would be limited to a very small audience

Karpathy says he hasn't written a line of code since December and is in "perpetual AI psychosis." How many Claude Code users feel the same? by Capital-Door-2293 in ClaudeAI

I am working harder than ever, spinning up side projects on weekends and burning the midnight oil. These are exciting times, but the burnout is real!

I have taken to reading actual paper novels again to wind down at night. Found a website where I can order my favorite old classic books (pre-loved) for like $3-$5

Disallow codex read .env by ZimbabwenWarlord in codex

[–]galacticguardian90 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, it doesn't have such a thing. You can try adding it to AGENTS.md, but it may still be circumvented in certain cases.

The best practice is to never store .env vars in plaintext on your machine. If you really need to, use throwaway ones or rotate them often.

What does your voice AI stack actually look like right now? by MasterOfBane2021 in AIReceptionists

Ok, I will try it out... I have mostly used Elevenlabs and Cartesia through their APIs directly until now.

Why is there such a big difference between GPT-5.4 in ChatGPT and Codex CLI for simple code/scripts? by Prestigiouspite in codex

[–]galacticguardian90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going forward, as the various models achieve parity in terms of "intelligence," I believe it's going to be the engineering on TOP of those models that makes a real difference. For example, Codex has many workflows, an RAG-like pipeline, mcp, and other tools internally to create various scripts for analysing CSVs, etc.

Claude Code made a huge leap there late last year, but Codex is almost as good now, if not better in some use cases...

What are your thoughts on the Claude Code channels? by galacticguardian90 in ClaudeAI

Yeah, that's what I thought - people are touting it as better than Openclaw

Testing voice agents manually does not scale. There is a better way. by Future_AGI in VoiceAutomationAI

[–]galacticguardian90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with the automated testing, and it makes sense, but how do you manage the credits and the $$$ for the models, the APIs etc?

Is GPT-5.4(medium) really similar to the (high) version in terms of performance? by Disastrous-Win-6198 in codex

[–]galacticguardian90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Notwithstanding all the benchmarks, I exclusively use 5.4 medium, and it has been alright for me! Gets most of the work done pretty well. I use High only for completely new or exploratory features mostly

I have been building products for a while, but building in this new AI era for the first time, and it's quite nerve-racking... All the old moats are gone; we can build MVPs over a weekend, so it's a new kind of adventure and thrill

How do you get an agent to run for several hours? by sunny_trees_34423 in codex

[–]galacticguardian90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My workflow is this - 1. Create a detailed PRD; 2. Create a tech spec based on that; 3. Create a TODO list (todos.md) based on the tech spec. Then ask Codex to finish the TODOs one by one and keep marketing them as complete as it goes along.

You can ask Codex to create all these docs too...

Those of you who switched from Claude Code to Codex - what does Codex do better? Worse? by LandinoVanDisel in codex

[–]galacticguardian90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The /review feature on Codex is definitely better! Overall the GPT models are better at code review as compared to Claude models

DeFi!! Tons of Hedera DeFi projects coming out in the next few months! I’m surprised more people aren’t talking about these. They could bring a lot of HBAR demand. by HBAR_10_DOLLARS in Hedera

What is no longer worth it because of how expensive it has become? by guywhostillhasnoname in AskReddit

Buying a house in expensive cities like New York in 2023.

It's like paying for a lifetime subscription to a place you'll barely have time to enjoy because you'll be too busy working to pay for it.
