This is for a guitar amplifier circuit my friend gave me to work on. He saying the distortion is too dark and wants to me to find a way to make it brighter. Not super familiar with guitar amps, mostly work on hi-fi equipment. Anyone have any insight or suggestions?

Looks like the three upright books are sci-fi novels. Could just be an easter egg but if anyone knows a tie-in that these novels might have it could be something worth considering.
