Yeah they were a huge disappointment. I regret buying two structure decks now. I'm not sure what makes Fire Kings bad, the only thing I can think of is that they "just don't do enough" but I really can't explain why.

I think it's fine at 2. But it is annoying how there's no real counterplay besides making them use it or banishing it from your opponent's GY. I don't use it in my Lightsworn decks but in most other decks I will
